Ice Day!

Good morning! Rise and shine!  I hope your morning is off to a great start!  If you didn't know, I adore penguins.  In Wisconsin, we live in a winter wonderland and wouldn't it be nice to be a penguin!  I like to collect little penguins! They just seem like such a little fun and cute critter!  So anyways I just wanted to share another one of my notebooks with you today!  These were super easy to put together because I had the notebooks all made up ahead of time.  I'm thinking of making some of the snowflake embellishments ahead of time to in all different colors. I use them a lot on my winter and Christmas cards so I thought it would be fun to just make a huge batch of them!  I went through a whole bottle of glitter glue last weekend. It's a good thing I just ordered some more!  I cannot get enough of the Crystal glitter glue! OBVIOUSLY!

Polar Tin

Well as I said, I have opened my gift-making workshop for the year. I like to come up with a bunch of holiday goodies. It is always nice to have some gifts on hand!  I love this big fella from Whippersnapper Designs. He is going on for some skiing this winter season!  He doesn't need much to keep himself warm! He is made for the frozen tundra!  The paper from My Minds Eye called Colorful Christmas makes it super easy to come up with a fun and bright project!  Eclectic Paperie also carry the dvd tins for the this project.  I have made a ton of these babies and love to give them as gifts. 

On the inside, there is a pocket on the side, and then a notebook and pen on the other side!  When I purchased the paper line, I also bought some of the cool brads and the chipboard. It is always fun to have embellishments that compliment the paper!

I almost want to breaking out in song:  "Let it snow! Let is snow! Let it snow!"  I said ALMOST!  Winter will be here before we know it!

Another Easel Card

Good morning! I promised you more easel cards so here is yet another one for you to enjoy!  This time I made a Halloween one! I love Halloween!  Between the autumn weather and the candy, it is my favorite time of the year!  I actually had the card front pretty much made so I just slapped that onto some card stock and then onto the base. I have some Imaginisce brads left so I chose that for me easel positioning embellishment! The stamp is by Whipper Snapper. I have used this image a lot this Halloween. There is usually one or two stamps that I really like working with for a holiday. This is one of my favorites this year!  The paper is by Heidi Grace and Making Memories. They are from my stash from last year! You gotta love leftovers!  Once I finished the assembly of this card, I just added a rub-on and some Kaiser gems! It was that easy!

Vintage Stocking

I really like making these square cards that measure 5 1/4" x 51/4"  It seems like the recipient is going to get so much more in a card!  This is some new paper that I bought at Archivers the other day.  It is by from My Minds Eye and the line is called the Merry Days of Christmas. It has a more vintage feel to it. So when I was coloring my image (stamped with a Whipper Snapper Designs stamp), I tried to keep that in mind. I also pulled out an old corner punch that I haven't used in forever!  It's time to start using some of the olden goldies! LOL!  I added some of the ivory lacey ribbon and that really gave this card a vintage feel!  And, of course, you know me! This card needed some buttons as well!  

As I was making this card, I was thinking that it is a great idea to make a Christmas card every now and again!  Maybe by the time Christmas comes around I will have enough to send out!  What an idea!  

  

Spooky Treats and Tricks!

Good morning to you!  Today I have another Halloween card to share! This is the exact same sketch that I used as yesterday. The only difference is that for the little strip of card stock on the button right of the card, I used the Trick or Treat Sticker Tape by Making Memories.  I also can't stop plopping my bat buttons onto my Halloween cards! They are so much fun!  I love making Halloween cards if you couldn't tell. I love the bright colors with the black. It's spooky (ha ha) and cute all at the same time!  This stamp from Whipper Snapper is super easy to color. All I did was color in the spooky letters. The ghost is outlined with a gray.  So if you are looking to whip up some fast cards, keep ghost stamps in mind!

Always on my Mind

I have started to play around with some sketches. I really like to

play with sketches when I don't want to put too much thought into my design work.  I find that it works best to work with a paper line that has coordinating paper. That way your colors match perfectly.  For this card, I used My Mind's Eye.  Eclectic Paperie has put together some packs with their favorites from this company, and I've found them to be some of my favorites as well!  I put this card layout together before I even stamped my image on the white card stock. I've never done it this way before, but I will again. Once the card was made, I dug through my stamps and found the perfect image for it.  I think this pup from Whipper Snapper is the cutest little guy!  Then I colored him and added my rub-on and button! LOL!

One other thing that I wanted to add is that I keep a file on my computer to save sketches I like. If you haven't noticed there are sketches all over the internet!  I also like to keep a file folder of sketches that are printed of so that I can just pull that paper and take it to my work station.  Give it a try!

 

Imaginisce meets my penguins!

Are you awake yet?  Well I hope this super cheerful card help to wake you up!  I promised to be done with the Halloween cards so here is a winter card. I know! I know!  I am working too far ahead!  I keep telling myself that I really need to make some every day cards and some thank you cards. That doesn't seem to stop me from playing with my new stuff! LOL! This paper is from Imaginisce and called Colorful Christmas. What a perfect name for this line!  I really enjoy working with bright colors for Christmas/Winter instead of always going with the traditional green and red combination.  I know this is probably going to be my favorite line for Christmas this year! I can just feel it!  So stay tuned. You will see a lot more of this line. 

The stamp is from Whipper Snapper Designs. The saying on the side is from Amuse. I love their small little sayings. In fact, I think I could use some more sayings from them!  LOL!

Good morning!  My life has been crazy busy with all these new changes going into action at once! Shall we get back to stamping now?  Yahoo! 

Today's card is sponsored by Whipper Snapper Designs.  This Witchy Woman cracks me up!  I feel like her some days!  Ha ha ha!  With this image being so big, there really isn't much to do but color her and plop her on a card. I used Bo Bunny patterned paper on my card. This has been a favorite so far this year. I like bright colors and these are perfect with the black. They just pop right out at you!  Then add a little Stickles Glitter Glue and you are good to go!  I have a ton of Halloween cards ready! My daughter does not understand when I pull out a Christmas stamp or a Halloween stamp right now.  She says, "Is it Christmas already?"  I just keep coloring with a snicker on my face. I know it will pay off to be ahead of the game!

Halloween Kitty

Good morning to my stamping friends!  When a couple of my friends were here in Madison for the night we went over to Archivers and I splurged on this stamp and another! That was all I purchased though!  I was a good girl. This stamp is by Penny Black.  The papers are Bo Bunny and the spider web print is by Making Memories (my stash from last year).  I love that the webs overlap the print.  Just love it! Oh and see the cute little brad? Those are from Imaginisce.  You get a lot of cute brads in the pack.  A lot of the brads match up with other brands of paper too. Ya gotta love that!  This card was so fun to make that I whipped up a bunch of them!  I am going to have plenty of Halloween cards!  Yahoo!

Okay I'm off to hit the shower. I've had my morning walk, my morning coffee, and now it's time to get my day going!  Happy day to all!

Whipper Birthday Turtle!

Good Saturday morning to you all!  I have a fun and easy card to share with you this morning!  When I was at our stamping retreat last weekend, I borrowed this Whipper Snapper stamp from my friend Donna. I stamped a few sheets of him. He is so darn cute and you always need birthday images, right?  Well Donna was on me to finish coloring my sheet!  That goof!  I never did. I think I had 3 left to color!  I put this one to good use!  I pulled out my old Basic Grey paper. By the way, Basic Grey paper NEVER goes out of style!  I kept the layout simple, because the paper is pretty busy and I didn't want to take away from the image itself!  And remember, your cards can be simple! Sometimes I think we forget that!
