Good morning and Happy New Years Eve Day Morning!  Ha ha ha ha! I am awake at the crack of dawn so it is a pretty good guess that I will not be staying up to ring in the new year!  I will however be spending today getting creative. I made up a bunch of challenges and found cards for inspiration. I hope to be a stamping fool this weekend!

Today's card is made with a digital stamp from Whimsie Doodles. If you didn't know, I love penguins. Aren't these little guys just the sweetest? The paper is all October Afternoon and the saying is a sticker from SRM.  The snowflake stickers are leftovers from all of my gift making over the holidays.

Castle Penguin!

Good morning!  On Thursdays for my on-line class I get sketches. So that was my focus for today's card along with using the color combination for this week.  I also came upon some new digital images from Whimsy Doodles that I had to have!  It's always fun to play with the old and the new. I found some scrap strips of patterned paper in my stash and then I cut the orange polka dot from the new Echo Park paper that I have. Coloring these images are so darn much fun. It's a perfect day for this little penguin to spend at the beach!

Cocoa and his coffee!

Good Saturday morning (I still have a half hour before it's  Saturday afternoon). I love Saturday mornings. I wake up and blog hop a bit. Then I jump into my stamp room with my cup of coffee. I create a few cards and make a pretty good mess. Then I hop on my stationary bike and ride like the wind.  After I shower and eat, I feel all refreshed and ready to go.  I head back to my stamp room and just enjoy creating!  That's what I love about Saturday mornings!  So maybe you want to see a card, huh?

This little guy is a digital image from Sweet & Sassy!  I've been getting into some digital stamp a bit more.  I like that I can print off a whole page and have them at the ready for when I feel like coloring. Cocoa is the perfect image to color too. He is cute as can be!  I dug into my "Lana-cuts" backgrounds (backgrounds already made up). This paper is by My Minds Eye. My daughter asked why I put Cocoa the mouse with the owls?  They are friends. The owls promised not to eat Cocoa.  I just liked them all together, I guess, is the real reason I put them together. That's the fun of creating. . . you can do whatever you want!  There is no right or wrong!

I made my vintage card for tomorrow. Wait until you see it. I really love it!  See you tomorrow!

Toad-ly

Good afternoon bloggers! I hope today finds you happy!  It is that time of the year when one can catch the "blahs".  Hopefully, my card will help you keep a smile on your face!

I was going strong with this pink and green combination while using up an old stash of paper.  This image is a digital image from Whimsie Doodles.  I knew I could color it in to perfectly match the paper!  I love all the green!

Dig out those buttons and a little strip of ribbon. You can spice up a card in no time flat with these simple embelishments!  This is such a basic card layout and easy to try!

Use it up Challenge 2

Good morning to you. I just finished my first cup of coffee. It tastes so good this morning.  I already have another Use it Up Challenge for you.  This is a fun little project I have shown before (probably). For some reason when patterned paper first started becoming popular, I felt like I had to buy at least 6 pieces of it.  In some cases I  bought more. I guess I was afraid I would run out. LOL!  Well that didn't happen (thus the cramped quarters). This paper is from Pebbles Inc. and I have had it for a long time because I bought so much. I paired up my paper with some new Digi-images from Whimsy Doodles. I think they are adorable.  These are not just a notecard. On the inside, it is a little folder that I am going to put those small packs of M&Ms in.  I used a  Basic Grey magnet to keep my pocket closed.  I like this idea! The basic pattern for this is very easy. Cut your cardstock to 8 1/2" x 6 1/4".  Then score it at 4 1/4" and 2". I fold my scored lines and then I trim the inside folders (cutting out a triangle piece). I don't measure. I just take my scissors and eyeball it. It doesn't have to be exact.  The fun part is decorating the front and then putting the treats inside for a friend!

So today pull out some old patterned paper and use it up on cute little projects for friends! It feels good!
