Grunge Flower Card

Good morning! Today I'm going to share a card with you that I made with Wendy Vecchi's Studio 490 stamps. One of the things I love best about the Studio 490 stamps is that they all coordinate.  The other thing is that I love her background stamps. I don't think there is another company that compares to her backgrounds!  On this card I used a new set called Lower Case Art and an older set called Dreams of Art.  I made the big flower out of Grunge Board, but I would recommend using Grunge Paper now that that is out on the market. The Grunge paper is going to be thinner and easier to send the card.  I stamp the images onto the Grunge paper and color the flower using Distressed Inks and the blending tool. Once I get it as dark as I want it. I cut out the pieces and glue them together with the Glossy Accents.  I love using this as a glue because it is fast drying! 

Did you guys know I like purple now?  LOL!  (That is for my friends that love purple, and I always cringed at that color!  Purple has really grown on me!)

Art by the Number

Well I just had to share another Studio 490 card today! I told you I was hooked!  I used Art by the Number and Nature's Art on this card.  I have been stamping that gingham background in every color imaginable!   I used Copic Markers too color in the flower.  I stamped another flower on scrap paper and then punched out the center and popped it up with some foam tape. I also dug out a metal piece from my stash and put that in the center. I love how that adds to the detail.  I'm so excited to be using my Studio 490 stamps. They are totally different from other companies. Wendy uses simple images and adds details to them that give them a vintage type feel.  You know how I feel about vintage!  I even dug out a vintage button for this card!  Every button has a story!  LOL!

Studio 490

I pulled out my Studio 490 stamps last week, and now I can't stop using them!  The thing I love about them most is that they all coordinate with each other. So if you buy a new set, you can use it with an older Studio 490 stamp set!  How sweet is that?  I am absolutely in love with Wendy's backgrounds!  I don't think there is any other company out there that even compares! 

On this card, I used three sets.  I used Art by the Number, Art From the Heart, and Nature's Art.  I wasn't kidding when I said they all coordinate. The first thing I do, when I play with the Studio 490 stamps, is pull them all out!  I love mix and matching them!  I also have a growing list of her sets that I now want!  YIKES! 

Last November, I was able to see Wendy Vecchi demonstrate at a stamp convention in Madison, Wisconsin. If you didn't know, she is the designer of the Studio 490 stamps!  I was so amazed with her talent. I went back many times to watch her.  She definitely has an eye for art! If you want to be inspired every day, stop by her blog! She is simply amazing!
