Computer troubles and some Wendy Vecchi Cheer!

Good morning and welcome to the Sunday post. I bet you have been wondering where I have been? Well two things happened in the last week and a half. First, I had a virus on my computer. My husband who is a whiz with computers, fixed me up.  The operation included getting a new hard drive in my computer. I lost a lot of things. One of them being my pictures of my cards. It's all good now.  I just have to start over with my stamping pictures!

The second thing that happened was that my uncle passed away. He was in a lot of pain so I am glad he is in Heaven now. Death is the hardest thing we have to deal with on this earth, and it takes some time to deal with the emotional part of it all. 

The good news is that I am back now. I may have a slow start because I usually work way ahead on my projects for my blog.  Not to mention this is going to be a very busy week at school and home this week.  But life is good, and I am back on track.

Today's card is yet another Wendy Vecchicreation. I love playing with her stamps.  One day I spent the entire day just stamping backgrounds of hers onto Manila tags in all different colors.  I am set now for awhile!  On this card I used something new. Some Japanese tape from Happy Tape. I love this stuff for detail.  Check them out! 

Okay, I'm heading back to my stamp shop. I'm making more GlimmerMist Seam Binding!  WOOHOO!

It is really hard to pick a favorite but out of all of the cards I made last weekend, I think this is it! I just really like how the black ink in the background makes the card pop!  I love this tulip image as well (Art From the Heart).

Crinkle Flower

Good Wednesday morning to ya!  I still have a pile of pinks and greens cards to share with you so I figured I better get to it!

This was actually the first card that I made in this line.  I love that flower!  Wendy designs a lot of her stamps with just an outline around the image. This is so that you can stamp her various backgrounds onto the same piece and give your flower some life! 

The sets I used are:  It's More Flower Art, Well Worn Art, Just Sew Artsy, and Lower Case Art.  As you can see, they all coordinate nicely!  Once you start investing in Wendy's Stampers Anonymous stamps, you will want to keep buying them because you get more use out of the sets you have boughten previously just from mixing and matching!

I should just call this Wendy Vecchi week on my blog!  LOL!  Well I hope you enjoy my cards as much as I do. I had a lot of fun!

Oh and one more thing. I used one of Tim Holtz's Memo Pinson this card. I am thrilled with them and know that I will be using them more on my projects!  Yahooie!

More pinks and greens!

Good Monday morning to ya!  I hope you are more awake than I am!  I am moving very slowly this morning!  Maybe this pretty in pink and green card will help to wake us both up! 

I used a lot of different Studio 490 stamp sets on this card. As I said, all of Wendy's stamps are meant to coordinate with each other. You should see my workshop when I am playing with her designs. I have stamps flung all over the place!

My main image on here is a butterfly cut out of coaster board with my Sizzix die.  I love how I inked the edges with the Crushed Olive color.  The pearls are from Kaiser.

Happness is the Essence of Life

Good morning and welcome to the Sunday post. I am very excited about the card I have to share today.  It is one in a line of about 10 cards.  I decided Friday night that I was going to get down and dirty with my Ranger Inks and my Wendy Vecchi (Stampers Anonymous) stamps. Now you are probably wondering how I decided that. Well when I sat down in my shop Friday night I started to putz around and try too figure out what I was in the mood for.  It didn't take me long to find that I was wanting to get my hands dirty.  So that was my plan when I woke up Saturday morning.  I also knew that I was going to focus on pinks and greens.  This is something I have to do again.

If you have ever worked with Wendy's stamps you know they all coordinate very well together which makes it easy to make cards.  So I started stamping some of her backgrounds onto my paper. I used pinks. I used Greens.  Then I stamped the tulip onto this stamped background and cut out the flower and the stem and leaves. I attached them to my base flower (an image stamped plainly onto a manila tag) with foam tape.  The rest was easy. I was mixing and matching backgrounds and oooh it was so much fun! I added a vintage pearl trinket pin to the back of my tulip. I really love using these.

People always ask how I get my backgrounds.  If you watch Tim's Video, you will be able to create these awesome backgrounds. I love making them and will do big batches of them before I even stamp!  In this case I made a bunch of pink and green backgrounds!  WOOHOO!

Pure Love

Good morning and welcome to the Sunday Post. I have a bit of a different style card to share today with you.  This style came from a few different things in my stamping arsenal!  First off, I had some of the new 6x6 Websters Paper pads. This one is called Life's Portraits.  I think I have mentioned before how much I love the paper pads, especially the 6x6 or 8x8 which are ideal for stamping cards. 

In combination with this paper, I used Wendy Vecchi's stamp set called, Love to Make Art.  I paper pierced the heart with different patterns of paper to coordinate with my card.  The heart is my main focal point. I popped it up on my card with foam tape. I also attached a pink pearl flower trinket pin to the back.

My favorite part about this card is the crinkle ribbon.  My friend, Bevie, showed me this video on how to make it and I am HOOKED! I have made several colors of this crinkle ribbon, and you will surely be seeing more in my card-making!
