Skating Notebook

Oh have I been busy in my stamp room lately! I have been having so much fun with projects!

I dug out some notebooks that I made up last year. I like to make a bunch of the notebooks with my Bind-It-All!  I make a ton of them and then decorate them as I go along!  I had a handful of them leftover from last year so this was fun. All I had to do was color an image and stick it on! Of course the fun part is adding all of that pretty ribbon!  You should have seen the ribbon flying around my craft room!  LOL!  I also punched out a snowflake with my Marvy Punch (it's the yellow size). Then I color it with my Copic Marker to coordinate with my notebook.  Finally, I add Stickles Crystal Glitter Glue to it. You have to let it dry for about a full day or night. Then I use a glue-dot to put a button in the center. I attach it to my finished project with some foam tape!  I cannot live without my foam tape!

I've been making so many little goodies for the upcoming holidays that I had to clean out some stuff to have a place to display my goodies on shelves!  It's like working at Santa's workshop!  Enjoy your day folks!

Ricky Racoon Happy Day!

Good morning Folks!  I'm sorry I've been running behind on things!  I plan to get caught up this weekend!  I made this card last weekend but I never got it photographed. I used a sketch from my sketch file. I like to collect sketches from different websites to challenge me. Sometimes it's fun to just take some new coordinating paper and follow a recipe or a sketch. That's what I did on this card. The patterned paper is from My Minds Eye. They have packages on sale at Eclectic Paperie right now.  I love this bunch of paper from the Abbey Road & Lucky Me collections.  How do you like the Racoon? He's a new stamp that I bought from Stampendous!  I seen some pictures of him being released at CHA and I knew I had to have him!I can't wait to play with him more!  His name is Rooco the Raccoon!  He is a cling mounted stamps which I love. They take up less space and the impression you get is high quality!

You Drive me Happy!

I started this card a couple of weekends ago.  The colors don't exactly match on the card, but I thought the image looked just fine on it.  Sometimes you don't need the exact colors. The background provides a softer color. The colored image just POPS out at you.  This stamp is from Stampendous and I got it way back on my birthday. I love the changitos so darn much!  They make every card a happy card!  The paper is from My Minds Eye (Penny Lane Collection).  My Minds Eye is my favorite paper right now and they keep coming out with more and more lines of paper that I HAVE TO HAVE!  I always figure, "ah heck, paper is cheap!"   I'm never disappointed when I get my order!

Birthday Yummy!

I had to pick me up some of the cute little changitos again!  I noticed that another batch of them came out so I hopped on- line and found some for myself! The stamps always make me smile.  I pulled out my We R Memory Keepers paper  and got creative with the designs of the paper. I cute out a swoopy from the paper and layered it on top of a coordinating pattern. Then I colored in my image with my Copic Markers and plopped it on!  I found some punch outs in the back of my big We R Memory Keeper paper pack and added the flower to embellish!  And you know me, I had to get out my Stickles glitter glue to bling it up! Doesn't that cake look yummy?

Good Thursday morning! I can't believe it's Thursday already!  HOLY SMOKES this week is going fast!  That's good news because we all know what I like to do on the weekends--STAMP!!!!

Here is another card that I made with the Stampendous set called Changito in Space.  I used one of my star buttons on this card because I thought it went along great with the space theme. Boy it was hard to use one of my special buttons!  LOL! 

What more can I say about my favorite little monkey?  LOL!  They sure are fun to color and bring to life.

Far Out!

Here is another card that I made using the Cleary Acrylic Stampendous set called Changito in Space.  I was thinking that the artist must just have so much fun drawing these changitos and making them do different things.  This is one WELL-ROUNDED changito!

I really like the font that they chose for this set.  It really seems to fit the theme! 

So it's Sunday.  The very last day of the weekend.  We have had above average temperatures the last few days. It's unreal here.  It certainly does not feel like November 2nd.  These days will be coming to a close soon though.  Then we will go into hibernation mode for the winter!  LOL!  I don't mind. I hibernate down in my stamp shop and create for hours on end! Happy Sunday to you! 

You Rocket

Good Morning! Today is a Wednesday/Friday for me! What is a Wednesday/Friday?  It's a Wednesday that is the last day of the week-meaning I have a LONG WEEKEND!  I am VERY HAPPY about that too! 

I recently ordered this set from Eclectic Paperie to add to my collection of the Stampendous Changitos. It is called Changito in Space (how appropriate, huh?) As I was coloring this image, I was snickering away.  I pulled out my Inque Boutique paper and it was a perfect match! 

 

And just look at these other images!  Do they make you smile or what??  I couldn't decide which one I liked best!  Stay tuned for more smile-making cards!  LOL!

 

 

Tutorial for Gift Card Holders

 

I've had lots of requests for directions on how to make the gift card holder that I posted a bit ago.  So here it is. These are quite simple to make.  First you start with a 11" x 4 1/4" piece of cardstock. 

You score it at 3" from both ends (the long way).

Next you score half way between those two scored lines which is about 2 1/2".  I have the Score-it and I can visually see what is exactly the middle by the measurements at the top. I like that option because even though you think you have the correct measurements, they can still be a bit off once you start scoring.  Once you get your third line scored, fold along your scored lines.

 

 

 

 

 

Put adhesive on as pictured. Be sure to stay close to the edge because your gift card will go in this section.  If you seal the whole thing up, you won't be able to get your gift card in it!

 

This is what it will look like once you adhere it.

 

Use your large oval punch and punch only about 1/3 to 1/2 of it.  This step is just so the recipient can grip their gift card to pull it out.

 

Next cut of just a small amount on your cutter. You are cutting the fold right off so you can insert your gift card.  I cut about 1/16" of an inch off.

Here you are! You have the basics done. Now all you have to do is the fun part. Embelish and decorate it any way that you want. I like to make a belly band around it. I cut about an inch of cardstock and wrap it around the whole gift card holder and cut off any excess. You can stamp it, tie ribbon around it, or anything you want to create a fun gift!

Jeepers Creepers!

Well, we are getting closer and closer to Halloween so I figured I better share more of my Halloween goodies with you.  Here is card I whipped up with a few of my favorite things.  The Dracula Changito is by Stampendous.  The patterned paper is by Heidi Grace. I can't get enough of that paper!  The border punch is a Marth Stewart Punch.  The jeepers creepers saying is by Amuse.  And you know me!  I just had to add some Stickles Glitter Glue to my cute little dracula!  He is not very scary to me at all!  Enjoy your Thursday!

Fangtastic Treats!

Good Morning!  Would anyone want some M&Ms for breakfast?  LOL!  I used to joke with my daughters about M&Ms being vitamins!  I'd grab a handful and say: "I have to take my vitamins!"  They'd grin at me! 

These little treats have been a real hit this year!  I've made many, many, many of them!  In fact, I'm starting to get a reputation at the stores around here.  I guess the fact that some woman is buying arm loads of M&Ms sort of catches their attention! 

The stamp is perfect on here. He is by Stampendous and I love to add glitter to his cape!  So be sure to take your vitamins today and make it a great day!
