Good morning! Don't ya just love having an extra day to the weekend? I wish all weekends were three day weekends, but then you would probably want more any how!  Today's card is made with a set from Our Craft Lounge. I just love this cheery set. I dug out a saying from my PTI stamp set to use with it.  I added some of that sparkly fluff, that everyone is always talking about it, to the clouds. I like the look.  The paper is from October Afternoon.

I was looking in my card stash and I am low on Get Well cards and Baby cards. . . I mean low as in I don't have any made. LOL!  So I'm on a mission to fix that.  It is always nice to receive a get well card in the mail when you are not feeling the best. It gives you and extra boost to get better! 

Okay I'm going to get after my cleaning first today and get that over with. Then it is time for some fun!  Yahoo! Enjoy your Labor Day Monday~

Springtime dirt!

Good morning from your favorite slacker! LOL!  I was enjoying my spring break so much that I fell out of the habit of posting to my blog!  I will try to get my schedule figured out and get back to posting.  I haven't given up on stamping so don't worry about that!  I'm posting this card just for my friend and co-worker Barb. She chewed me out good on Monday for not posting any eye candy for her to enjoy over spring break! Okay, she didn't really chew me out, but that sounds so much better!

This card is made with one of my new favorite sets from Our Craft Lounge. This set can be for Easter or for a general spring card! The set is called Hoppin' Into Spring. Isn't it adorable?  I love it.  I pulled out some Chatterbox springtime paper from my stash. I really like how they included some gardening images in this set.  It makes this a very versatile set that you could use all summer really.  The more versatile a set is, the better!

I mentioned that I really enjoyed my spring break. I did so many things. My daughter was home the week before and left on Sunday. It was nice having her home from college. My younger daughter and I went to the arboretum and hiked a couple of times.  I drove up and visited with my parents and picked up some Easter chocolates along the way.  Then for Easter we spent some time up north with our family. It was all very enjoyable. Now I'm back to school at the most wonderful place to work!  I enjoy my co-workers and the students so much!  Isn't spring the most wonderful time of the year?

Eggstra Special!

Good Saturday morning! I am up before the sun today and ready to start my weekend off right!  I have no definite plans, but I'm happy to have made it through the week. My daughter is home on spring break so that adds a lot of excitement to the household!

I love this stamp set from Our Craft Lounge called Hippity Hoppity.  This is a really fun set to play around with and mix your images together.  The sayings are perfect. The details make you smile! 

I'm still hooked in using bright colors for my Easter Cards this year.  Bright is good.  It wakes us all up and lets us know spring is here (even though it snowed here overnight, but I'm ignoring that).

There's No Bunny Like You!

Good morning! Good morning!  I am happy that it is Wednesday already!  We have a rainy start here this morning and temps will get up into the 50s today. Spring is on it's way!  Well there is, of course, a lot of snow that has to melt yet, but we won't talk about that!

Isn't this bunny just the cutest?  He is from one of the new Our Craft Lounge sets called Hoppin' Into Spring.  I love everything about this set!  I found the perfect paper I wanted to use in my scraps and dug out my flowers!  How springy does this card look?  Yahoo Spring is on it's way!

Hippity Hoppity!

Good Monday morning!  Wakey! Wakey! I know you don't want to get up, but we have to!  Really, I'm just trying to convince myself of that more than anybody!  LOL!  Maybe this bright card will help us all wake up!

My new stamp sets from Our Craft Lounge arrived this weekend! I was in the middle of creating in my stamp shop. The timing was perfect!  I dug right into them and started playing immediately. I love this little froggy who is dressed up like a bunny. He hops!  What else do you need?!  And check out the cute little snail. I adore him!  This card was so fun to color and make.  I'm digging the bright colors for Easter this year.  I have more to come!

Things that Sparkle

Good morning! I thought I'd share another Twilight card for all

those fans of the Twilight books and movies. I heard on the radio the other day that the New Moon movie tickets have already sold out for the opening day of the movie (in some areas) which is in November! Isn't that unreal?

For this card I again used a sketch.  I paired up some different companies of paper.  I used the Our Craft Lounge set called For- Bitten. Every time I use this set, I feel compelled to use the vampire lips.  Hmmm. . . I wonder if that means anything!  I used Rockstar Red Glitter on the lips. I used a glue pen to add the glue and then sprinkled the red glitter over it. It worked perfectly!  Then I added some Stampendous stickers to the flourish to add a little more detail.

Toad-ally Cool Christmas

Good morning! It's Monday morning and I hope you are having an easier time waking up than I am!  LOL!  Today I have a Christmas card to share with you!  I used an Our Craft Lounge set called Hoppy Holidays!  Isn't this guy so stinkin' cute?  He is cruising on his sled! I love it!  I don't remember who the paper is by. I just dug into my stash and matched him up!  I added a few buttons, some glitter glue, and a Making Memories clip to the top.  It's that simple!  This guy makes me look forward to winter and snow. I'm not sure I'm quite ready for that, but when it gets here, you can bet I will be playing in it!

I've been bitten. . .

Good morning!  Have you read the Twilight series?  If you haven't, I highly recommend it.  When I first heard about the book Twilight by a family friend, I was thinking that it wasn't really my type of book.  I decided to read it any ways, and boy am I glad I did. It was fantastic and then I had to run out and buy the next three books!  Never in a million years would I have thought I'd like a "teenage vampire love" book!  Then the movie came out. My daughter and I both had to go. It was awesome!  I can hardly wait for the New Moon movie to come out this November. I've seen two trailers for it and it is going to be GOOD!  So anyways,  about this card!  Ha ha ha! I guess I got a bit carried away on my background information!  Our Craft Lounge has a stamp set called For-bitten and it is perfect for making Twilight cards. Seeing as I have a lot of friends that also like Twilight, I am going to have fun with this set. This is my first card that I made with it. I used the new Night & Day Specialty papers by Stampin' Up! They will be available for purchase starting tomorrow, September 1st.  I knew when I started thinking about making Twilight cards that I wanted to use this paper.  I added Stickles glitter glue to the fangs after I colored them. Then I also added Glossy Inksentials to the drip of blood to make it look wet. Ooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh. . . I hope that doesn't creep you out. 

If you follow Twilight, then I thought you'd want to know that, yes, Edward has bitten me.  He is MINE for eternity!  LOL!

Ghostly Good Time

Ah heck, I figure I may as well keep the Halloween preview going!  I had so much fun making my Halloween cards this past week! Why not share them with you all!

This is another card that I made with the Our Craft Lounge set called Ghostly Greetings. I don't often make square cards, but whenever I do I think I should make them more!  This card measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4". I really do like this size. The paper is once again by Bo Bunny. I love how the colors are so bright along with the black. It just pops right out at you!  The little ghosts are so darn cute and make for some easy coloring. I put some Stickles glitter glue around them to make them sparkle! These ghosts are not the SCARY kind!  LOL! I put the whole set on here so you could see.  I adore this set and am very glad I purchased it!  I know I will get a lot of use out of it!  

Today it is a rainy day which is alright with me. My daughter is leaving for college on Saturday.  So this morning we will get the washing machine plugging along and try to get all of her stuff packed.  I thought I was doing okay with this whole thing. I thought I was being very brave. But last night I was grinding my teeth, dreaming about my own college years, and basically didn't sleep the best.  So as much as I like to think I'm doing okay with this, I don't really think I am!  I'm very proud of my daughter and excited for her so I'm going to try to focus on that!   I just can't believe how fast the time goes. It feels like just yesterday that she started Kindergarten!  YIKES!

Are you ready for some Halloween?

I always get a little twitch this time of the year to start working on Halloween cards. I don't know why that is, but when I start working on them, I have a blast.  I think I have a whole week's worth of Halloween cards to share with you.  I feel ahead of the game and seeing as we are going back to school next week, that's a good thing!  This is an Our Craft Lounge set called Ghostly Greetings. It's one of their newer sets.  With this set alone, I have a ton of cards made up!  Not only is it cute as can be, but it's very easy to layout the images.  The paper is from Bo Bunny.  I love it!
