Let's Ketchup!

So let's ketchup!  Ha ha ha!  This morning I was on my blog and so very tired. I was thinking that maybe I should change to evening time for my blog postings.  I was typing away and thinking, "nah I'm okay!(this was only after 1 sip of coffee.)  I am just about done blah blah blahing and I hit some keys and that did something funky to all those words I just typed.  That instantly made my decision. I clicked the "x" and got right off my blog site. It is time to switch the time I do my blog postings. I will now post in the evenings! Decision made!  That way you can hear about my day!  I'm sure you'll love that! 

Today I had a wonderful day. I am really enjoying working with 5th and 6th graders.  They are not nearly as feisty as my ol' 8th graders (even though I miss them terribly)! 

Oh I suppose you want to know about the card?!  The stamp is by Inky Antics. Another in a fabulous line by Ronnie. She is brilliant with her illustrations and her sayings!  I colored it in with Prisma Color Pencils and Gamsol. 

Okay folks, now I need to think about some dinner for my family!  I hope you had a great day as well!  Make sure to get some exercise in tonight (that's more for me, than for you)!  I really would much rather curl up on the couch, but I'm making myself!  I know I will feel good afterwards!

Lettuce get together!

Good morning!  Today I have a card brought to you by Inky Antics!  Do I sound like a tv commercial?  That's what I was going for!  Ha ha!  And while we are talking silly, what do you think about the saying: Lettuce get together soon?  That is pretty clever once again!

I made all of these Inky Antics card samples the same color combination so that they could display them on their boards together. I'm really quite happy with how this color combo turned out. It's not something I would usually choose, but I tried to look at the image and picture what colors I should color the image. At the same time, my wheels were turning as to what color combo I should make the over all card.  Once you get those basics down, it is just a matter of plopping paper here and there on a card. I like to use scraps of the patterned paper and just play around and see where they look right.  I adore the ribbon that I used from Taylor. She has an eye for the gooder ribbon!  LOL!

Okay folks, I need to get my hair curled. My husband woke up late today! We were both shuffling around in the bathroom trying to get out of there before my youngest daughter gets up at 5:45.  We did it!  Happy Thursday!

In a pickle!

Are you up yet?  It's Saturday and a start to a beautiful weekend. It's supposed to be about 46 degrees here today which is going to feel tropical with the winter we've had!

This pickle fella is from Inky Antics.  I fell in love with him for personal reasons. My husband and daughter LOVE PICKLES and they buy the big gallon jars of them from Sam's. So when I saw him standing next to this big jar of pickles, I KNEW had to have him.  The first thing I did was making Lizzy a birthday card with it! As always, Ronnie comes up with clever little sayings for her images.  That makes it much more fun to make cards if you ask me!  

We are heading out the door this morning to go up to my brother-in-laws. I just made a batch of scotcharos for a treat!  My great niece is being baptized this weekend.  And we are sending my nephew off to Iraq.  It will be a nice family weekend. I will post my Sunday Post tomorrow (my card is done), but it will be later in the day!  

Oh and how is the exercise going?  How is everyone doing?  I plan to get back into some sort of exercise routine. I've been having problems with my knee but I'm ready to see if I can do some biking more as a therapeutic form of exercise.   

Season of the Day!

Good morning! Here is one of my favorite new images from Inky Antics. Isn't she cute? I love the shaker. She's sprinklin' some spice on life!  I colored her in with Prisma Colored Pencils and Gamsol.  Then I took a light blue pencils and scribble around her. I blended that in with Gamsol and a stump as well. It gives it a soft touch.  I really like these colors together. I just pulled scraps from my scrapbox and started laying them out on my background piece. As always, I love the cute little saying stamps that they have for the images.  I really like that extra touch!

How is your week going? Mine is going great! I really like my new job.  Once I settle in more, I know I will just love it!  Woohoo!  And wow! Those 5th and 6th graders are  A LOT different than 8th graders. It's amazing to me how much kids change--even year by year.  Make your Wednesday a great day!

For the Halibut!

This card is dedicated to my good friend QC, otherwise known as my Sissy, and her husband Carey!   They share my love for smoked fish!  *wink*  So when I saw this stamp and saying by Inky Antics, I was snickering to myself! Just for the halibut!  Is that funny, or what?  What a great play on words!   

I can't believe it's Thursday. I only have today and tomorrow left at work ,and then I start over again at a new school.  One thing about me is that I HATE (I know that's a strong word) good byes.  I just do not like them.  I would rather say: "See ya tomorrow!"  I am already in an emotional knot over having to say good bye to my 8th grade homies (that means friends).  They teach me so much every day, and I genuinely connect with them and care about them!  Oh man I'm getting choked up already. 

Okay quick, change the subject!  (lol)  I hope you have a wonderful day today and we can even start looking forward to the weekend now!

Thanks a Latte

Good Morning!  It's FRIDAY people!  The best darn day of the week!  Yippy Skippy!  I'm not even awake yet and I'm excited!  I almost called my friend Deb at 5:50am to tell her that it's Friday and time to get up!  LOL!  (good morning Deb)

Here is another cute little number from Inky Antics!  I had so much fun with this line called Confection Affection.  The name itself is clever!

The paper is more from my Minds Eye paper stack that I purchased at Hobby Lobby. I will have enough paper for my entire life!  Will that stop me from buying more?  Probably not!  I enjoy my paper collection!

So what are your plans for the weekend?  Hmmm. . . I will probably stamp!

Hiya Cookie!

Good morning! We have another snow day here! I feel like I'm hibernating!  LOL!  I'm a bit late in posting today because our power went off at 4am this morning. Normally that is not a big deal, but when it is -20 degrees outside without the wind, it is a bit scary!  So we were up until it went back on a bit after 5:00 and then had to see if school was closed. Luckily it was and I fell back to sleep like a baby!

This stamp is by Inky Antics. It came out in their last supplement.  I love the whimsical images in the line and the sayings are so darn cute! I think I'm going to have to work on a line of Confection Affection cards. What a clever name that Inky Antics came up with!  Enjoy your Friday!  I'm happy to start my weekend early!

Snowshoe-in Tin!

Good morning! Good morning!  I made this sweet little tin for my friend, Debe Van. She had some big time stress going on for a little bit and I just wanted to brighten her day.  It's hard during the holidays when something stressful is hitting you in the face!  She remained calm and did a terrific job and everything worked out for her! 

The stamp is by Inky Antics. The paper is by Scenic Route and is a few years old (but I LOVE IT).  I glittered it up with some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter!  WOOHOO!

We're packing up the car as we speak!  We are heading home for the holidays!  I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and take time to enjoy the simple things of the season.  Merry Christmas to all! 

Free the Reindeer!

This InkyAntics stamp really cracks me up. Something about the saying and the way the reindeer is tearing down the hill!  Again, I'm using Basic Grey paper.  Every year they seem to come out with a very popular holiday line of papers. Some years it was very hard to dig into the pretty papers. I'm not doing that anymore.  My new motto is JUST USE IT!

The snowflake is by Making Memories and I bought a lot of them a few years back. I love the aged look of them.  I'm almost out of them now! YIKES!  Oh well:  Just use it!

Inky Antics Scrapbook Tin

 Today I'm going to share a project with you that I just love. My daughters are growing up so fast. My oldest daughter is almost 18 and my youngest daughter is 15.  I miss when they were little!  I made a little scrapbook with pictures from 1997 that fits inside this tin. Any time I want to, I can pull out the mini book and page through. The older they get, the more I cherish my memories of when they were little!  Ho hum. The stamp is by Inky Antics and the paper is by Basic Grey. I ordered the tins years and years and years ago.  I'm not even sure where I got them from any more! The image on the scrapbook itself is also from Inky Antics and has always been one of my favorites!  Add a few buttons here and a little bit of ribbon, and you have a project that you will treasure for years to come!

It almost brings a tear to my eye.  Probably because if I think about it, this all means I'm getting OLD!  Be sure to take lots of photos this holiday season so you can cherish them for years!  It's always fun to look back!
