On November 22nd, I went to a stamp convention in Madison, WI and Wendi Vecchi introduced me to the GRUNGE (by Tim Holtz)! I am normally a very clean stamper so when I walked up to Wendy's demo at the Stampers Anonymous booth, I was a bit leary about this technique she was showing. Well it didn't take me long to figure out this was something I wanted to putz with! Wendy had wonderful samples all over the booth that both showcased her stamp sets. I spent a lot of time in and around her booth that Saturday. I checked out a few times at that booth as well! I bought a few of Wendy's stamps, Studio 490 and a few Distressed Inks by Tim Holtz. As soon as I got
home on Saturday afternoon, I started playing with the grunge. I bought this chipboard clipboard from one of the venders at the show. It's by Pinecone Press. I made several flowers that first day and then the next day, I used one on this clipboard. I can see using these flowers for EVERYTHING! You could make a pin! You could add them to a tin. You could make framed pieces of Art. If you'd like to see some of Wendy's work, you can go to the Stampers Anonymous site and by each of her sets, there is a sample box you can click on! She is a fabulous artist! So after I knew this was something I was going to be putzing with more, I shopped around a bit on-line. StarlitStudio has about the best prices I could fine on the GRUNGE! Give it a try! I am hooked!
