Season of Joy!

Good morning and welcome to the Sunday post! How can it be Sunday already?  Saturday just went way too fast for me!  I plan to make the most of today!  Let's get to today's card, shall we?  I did the same thing as the previous Sundays' cards. I dug out all of my crafty secrets goodies and started to pick images that I felt would go together. The background paper is by Basic Grey.  I like to layer some of the images with foam tape to give it dimension.  My favorite part of this whole card is the little kid on the bottom int he blue coat. He is getting ready for the holidays!

My post is short today, but I have things to get started on today! One of the first things I will be doing is cleaning up my stamp shop! I left it in an absolute disarray last night! I sure know how to make a mess in a hurry!

Christmas Greetings

Good morning and welcome to the Sunday Post.  Today I have a Christmas card to share with you using Crafty Secrets!  I have really enjoyed using all of the Crafty Secrets goodies recently. I like finding the perfect paper to pair them with too. I like using Basic Grey, and I dug deep into my stash to find this.  I knew I wanted something blue with these images. 

The first image I chose was the snowmen one. Once I get my main image placed on my card, I look through the other images, scraps, and stickers to find what I want to put with them.  Every time I chose something to go onto my card, I feel like it's personality is being made. I know that sounds corny, but have you ever looked at a card and it's given you a feeling or reminded you of something? See cards have personalities too! LOL!  A lot of times when I am using Craft Secrets goodies, I feel like I'm going back to my childhood. There are certain images that remind me of things from my past.

I hope you enjoy today's card. I'm waking up super early again! I'm still not used to the time change!  It's been a week, and I still keep falling asleep early and then waking up early!  I must say, though, I really enjoy the quiet mornings!  Happy Sunday!

Angels on high

Good morning and welcome to the Sunday Post! Today I have a Christmas Crafty Secrets card to share with you!  For this card I used a combination of Crafty Secret projects (Vintage Cuts, Vintage booklets and even some Vintage stickers).  I really like to use bits and pieces when I am creating these college type cards.  I look for images that will go well together. Obviously my theme on this card is angels.  I also added some glitter with a glue pen to the angels fur on her coat. In real life this looks so pretty.  I've really enjoyed playing around with the vintage images from Crafty Secrets. It always makes me think of my childhood. 

Today I also wanted to give you an update on my biking.  I just hit my 700 mile mark this weekend. Since June 18th I have ridden 700 miles on my bike. My goal is to reach 1000 miles!  It is a big commitment, but I will tell you that the payoff is huge.  It feels so good after you have gotten your heart rate up for 30-40 minutes.  It's not always easy getting on the bike in the first place, but I always feel great afterwords!  Exercise is really important to me!  I have had some of you asking how I was coming along on my exercise, so I wanted to give an update!

Happy Halloween the Crafty Secrets Way!

Good morning and welcome to the Sunday Post. This is not a really dirty and grungy card but it is made with my vintage stamps from Crafty Secrets!  I used a page from my Noteworthy Tablets by Making Memories. I stamped my image right on it and colored it in.  I used Black Eye Liner Glitter from Our Craft Lounge on the little girls cape. I love this stuff. It's the coolest black glitter ever! Once I got the main image done, I stamped some random images on the same piece. That black cat cracks me up! He is spooky!  I dug out some buttons that matched and I was all done. I had this card done in record time. I also dry embossed the pumpkin pie background with my Cuttlebug. Can you see that? Halloween is really sneaking up! 

November Greetings

Good morning and welcome to the Sunday Post. I have another Crafty Secrets card to share with you all today! You may see more and more of this type of card from me if my fingers don't improve. That's okay though! I love making these. Crafty Secrets makes it so easy to make a vintage type card with it's creative scraps and notebooks!

For this card I actually popped up my punched out border. I love how that looks on this card!  I cut out my favorite vintage pictures from my Crafty Secrets stash and placed them on my card. I had to move around and around until I found the perfect position for them.  Once I got my images in place, I dug out some of my vintage buttons from my collection.  My card would not be complete without vintage buttons!

Crafty Secrets Vintage Post

Good morning and welcome to the Sunday Post. My vintage cards have usually been more of the grungy style so today I decided to post a cleaner style using Crafty Secrets goodies. I love making non-stamping cards with all of their wonderful goodies.  The Halloween images they have really take me back to my childhood. 

It seems so easy to just pick the images out and plop them right on a card.  I made this card for the Crafty Secrets Challenge last weekend on SCS.  I really have to pull my Creative Scraps out and play with them more. I really enjoy it!

Bulbs and Seeds

Hi folks and happy Sunday!  We survived our weekend party up north at good Ol' Uncle Phils!  We had a great time with our family. We are home, doing laundry, catching quick naps here and there, and trying to get things put back in their places!  I wanted to get a quick post up here for you today!  It's not my normal Sunday Post, but at least it is a vintage card!  I love the Crafty Secret Creative Scraps that I used on this card. I need to get some more. These cards are great if you want to take a break from stamping!  You still feel very creative!

Burpee's Farms

Good morning! Good morning! It's going to be a beautiful day today in southern Wisconsin. Our temperature will be at a pleasant 75 degrees. This is my favorite kind of weather!

Today's card is made from Crafty Secrets products. This is a nice card for this time of the year. The gardens are growing. The flowers are growing.  This is the first year we have a real garden. Our neighbors cut down a big Cottonwood tree last year and it gave us some sunshine in an area of our backyard.  All four of us have been keeping an eye on the growing vegetables!  It's very exciting stuff.

I love using the Crafty Secrets Creative Scraps. There is no stamping involved. It's all a matter of layout and color.  Crafty Secrets also has some vintage patterned paper. So really all you do is match and throw the card together. I like to use foam tape to give the card some dimension. I look forward to making more of these kinds of cards! I love them!

Good Crops

Good morning! Let's see, today is Wednesday!  I'm already having a hard time keeping track of what day it is!  Ah, I love summertime!  I've had a lot to keep me busy this week. I have plenty of doctor appointments this week. In fact, today I will go get my first injection of Enbrel! Please say a little prayer that this works!

Anyways, enough of the blah blah blah!  Here is another card that I made with the Crafty Secrets Creative Scraps.  This stuff is perfect for achey joints in the fingers!  I get pretty miserable if I can't spend time in my stamp room!  Crafty Secrets came to my rescue!  It's also fun to try something new instead of stamping all the time.  I just love being crafty!  It's a wonderful outlet for us women (and some fellas too).

Seed Annual

Last weekend, my fingers were so sore from my arthritis, that I had to give them a break. No coloring allowed. I dug out my Crafty Secrets Garden Creative Scraps and got busy. I couldn't stop. I had so much fun mixing their vintage papers and the scraps!  It was a welcome relief for me to see that I could still create no matter how sore my hands were. This card was my absolute favorite one, and I sent it off to a very good friend that is a shabby chic!  It reminded me so much of her that I had to send it to her!

Today is the very last day of school for me! I can't believe it!  What will I ever do this summer to keep busy?
