Good afternoon and welcome to the Sunday Post. I'm a little late today because I've been running around and cleaning my house up for the next week!  It's good to have that done and, and now I can do some stamping!

This card is made with a new set (Old Grist Mill) that I recently purchased from Artistic Outpost.  This set reminded me of my Dad. He has taken a lot of photos over the years and some of his favorite things to take pictures of are old mills.  I'm hoping to be able to make some cards with this set for him.

I added some color to this card using regular markers (Tombow). I wanted some of the natural greens to show of the bushes and trees. I also added some color to the sunflowers.  I love how they pop out on this card. After I added the color, I also added some Distressed Stickles to the water, bushes, and flowers.  It's hard to see it in the picture.  Doesn't this card just make you want to go for a Sunday drive out into the country?

Fall Harvest

Good morning and welcome to the Sunday Post. It is my favorite day of the week to post.  I sat down yesterday and made this card using an Artistic Outpost stamp set called Bluebird.  I also used a couple of border stamps from Lost Coast Designs.  I love me some cheap rubber!  This card really wasn't too much work.  I took one of my background tags that I made up previously (I always make up a big batch of different colored tags and keep them for my Dirty Stamping!)  I glued a couple of my vintage buttons on and a few metal pieces in my stash.  The ribbon is some lacey stuff that I purchased from Texas Jody Lynn.  She is a ribbon addict just like me so I feel it is necessary to support BOTH of our habbits! LOL!

Doesn't this card just remind you of Fall? I was walking around our backyard the other day and it certainly is starting to look like Fall is on the way! It is my favorite time of the year!

Motel Diner

Good Morning and welcome to the Sunday Post!  This card reminds me of when I was a kid.  I had a box of old postcards that my Great Aunt and Uncle collected on their trips.  I would flip through them and look at the pictures and wonder what that place was like.  I wish I still had those postcards.

The set I used is from Artistic Outpost and it is called Route 66. This card was a lot of fun to make.  After I stamped the main image in the center, I just stamped more around the edges like a frame. Then I darkened that frame area with Distressed Inks (Vintage Photo). I like how the colors turned out on this.  And look there is a vintage button that I added in the corner with that little detail.  I love making these dirty cards!

Today we are heading to the Brewers Game in Milwaukee. We are really loooking forward to it!  Enjoy your Sunday!

Serenity of Freedom

Good morning and welcome to the Sunday Post!  I've been a blog slacker the last few days.  I've been busy bonging all over the place around here. It's been really hard to focus on any one thing. I'm getting there though and I'm on the downside of the steroids so that should help me tremendously!

On today's card I used stamps from Artistic Outpost. I absolutely love their stamps. They have a lot of stamps in each set and that just makes the possibilities endless in my mind!  I played around with adding more color to the background again. I love doing that and getting a good contrast on the card.  I also used my vintage buttons on this card! YIP!  When I add them to the card I think about where they came from. I know! I'm a button freak!  What can I say!

Circus

Good Morning and welcome to the Sunday Post. Today I have a fun card that I made with Artistic Outpost stamps. The set is called Vintage Circus. This card really came together fast because of the composition of the stamps.  I stamped the background onto my Jumbo Tag and then just started adding bright color using my foam blenders.   love how it turned out.  I cut the elephant out of a scrap piece.  I love how the "circus" pops out from the color contrast!  I used foam tape to pop the photo of the little boy out a bit from the rest of the card.  This card brings back memories for me of when I was a kid!

I hope you enjoy your Sunday. We are heading out this morning for Good Ol' Uncle Phil's house.  My daughter has her college orientation tomorrow and Tuesday. So until I get back, keep smiling!

Greetings from the Funny Farm!

Good morning and welcome to the Sunday Post!  The best darn day of the week for blog posting!  This week's card is sponsored my Artistic Outpost. The main image on the card is from the set called Home. I stamped it on one of my jumbo tags that I already had colored from the distressed technique.  I colored in the farm with a dirty red and green maker. It really made the image pop out a bit more.  I did have to take my foam blender to add more Aged Mahogony to the tag. I really like the saying "from the funny farm" that is included in this set. 

The farmers were out in the back fields yesterday planting their crops so I thought it was appropriate to pull out this set!

So how are you doing on your exercising?  I'm doing pretty good. I had to quit biking Friday and Saturday.  My knee had a flare-up from my arthritis. I'm taking it all in stride. Hopefully I will be back riding later today!  I made good use of staying off my feet yesterday--I spent some quality time in my stamp room!  Woohoo!

Birds Song-Browns and Blues

Good Morning and welcome to the Sunday Post--my favorite day of the week to post!  This week I used stamps from Tim Holtz (Urban Tapestry) and Serenity by Artistic Outpost.  I made a smilar card to this a few weeks ago, but changed the color.  As you can see, color completely changes a card!  I used the mini mask called Florets on this card blending around it with my distressed inks.  And check out the unique way to add a snippet of ribbon. The fasteners are from 7 gypsies and I just love them! I dug into my tin of metal and found the little charm to add to the corner! I think it adds a lot!

Destiny

Good Morning and welcome to my Sunday Post! It is that time of the week to showcase a grungy card! WOOHOO! I used several different sets on this card. I used a few different stamp sets on this card. That is the thing with the vintage-type stamps; They all go together!  That is one reason I branched out into the vintage world.

It is always a fun change of pace for me to switch gears and go vintage for a day here and there!  And think about what inspires you in life.  There is inspiration all over the place!  What inspires you? 

I've been distracted this weekend from stamping. I started a new hobby (beading). Well, it's not really new, but I started making pendants that I can wear on my silver or gold chains. I'm hooked into beading again.  I will be sure to take some pictures and share with you. It's been a rainy weekend here, so we've been staying inside for the most part. The girls and I did head out yesterday for some shopping. I think millions of other people had the same idea! The stores were packed!

How is the exercise going?  I did terrible this last week exercising.  We had a lot of things going on in the evenings, and I really didn't have time.  I decided to give myself a break on the exercising. It just wasn't realistic for me to get a good week of exercise in. That doesn't mean I didn't exercise.  It means I only got 2 days in.  Sometimes life happens and things don't work out how you want them to. It did feel good to get a good workout in yesterday and I will do the same today.

Inspiration

Good Sunday morning and welcome to the Sunday Post! I've been messing around with my Paint Shop Pro software to try to brighten up my darker Vintage cards. Please bare with me during this learning process. I hope this card is not too bright! It is darker in real life.  I'm just learning!

The main stamp set I used on this set is called Bluebird from Artistic Outpost.  I really like this company. It's a small company, but I like the fact that I can buy the stamps unmounted.  That is what I am into right now to conserve on room that my stamps take up!

Oh and how is the exercise going?  I rode 26.4 miles on my exercise bike. Considering my arms are moving at the same time, would say I got a GREAT workout week in! Boy can I feel those muscles in my arms and back!  Are you still with me? How are you doing?

I didn't get as much stamping done yesterday as I wanted to. I was distracted by doing some real life activities! Today I will try to focus on my stamping. I have some cleaning to do too. That will not DISTRACT me for THAT LONG.  lol!  Be happy and enjoy your Sunday!

Summer Afternoon

Good morning!  Welcome to the Sunday Post!  I know it is nowhere near summertime, but this card will hopefully help you remember warmer days are on their way! On this card I used several stamp sets, but I will showcase the main set. The set is called "Keeper" and it is my artistic outpost.  I really love their stamps and they are cheap! I made up the backgrounds on my jumbo tags from Eclectic Paperie. I made a bunch of different colored ones to have on hand. I chose this one for my card because I felt those colors reflected the feel I was going for with this summery (is that even a word?) card. I used my Ranger Crackle paints on the corners.  Man I love getting down and dirty!

I wanted to talk "exercise" a bit today as well. How are you doing?  I am happy to report that I am getting back in the swing of things. My knee seems to be getting better. I know it is getting stronger. I took it slow, but I am back up to over 16 miles on my exercise bike this week. Thank goodness!  I honestly miss being able to exercise when I can't!  I hope you are still sticking it out.  Exercise is so good for you.  Can you feel it?  Do you have more energy?  Does it make you happier?  I sure can feel it!  I'd sure like to hear how you are doing!
