Good morning my friends. Today I am going to share two cards with you that I made with my new papers and goodies from October Afternoon's Holiday Style line. Oh it is so pretty! I named this card, Grandma's Phonograph. I get rather nastolgic this time of the year. When I saw the record in the Holiday Style Miscellany I immediately thought of how we would have
Thanksgiving dinner at my grandma's house when I was young. As grandma prepared the meal and such in the kitchen, my dad would haul out the records. We started playing Christmas songs that very day. I can almost hear the crackle of the old records. All of the vintage images remind me so much of my grandma. Every year she would give us a gift box, and we always new what was in it...yet another pair of crochet booties. Oh my goodness we must have collected many, many, many slippers, scarves, mittens from her. All were made with her hands and her heart.
I just love that October Afternoon created this line that brings me back to my childhood. Oh the good ol' days are filled with many hapy memories!
