What's Cookin

Good afternoon. I am on break for the rest of the afternoon.  This moring I got my windows washed so we can see out of them again.  That was my big job. I also accomplished tons of little things. I am really getting there on my list of things to do before I go back to school.

This afternoon I went for a walk and was noticing signs of it being late summer. There wasn't a cloud in the sky as I walked. 

I was thinking about all of the vegetables being canned this time of the year. I have always been so envious of those that can them.  Anyways, that is the story on how I got to this card made with a stamp set from Flourishes. Isn't the font cool on the card?  I used October Afternoon paper to coordinate with it. How fun!

I hope you can take some time today to enjoy the little things!

Oh and one other thing!  On my walk today, I looked up and there was a woodchuck coming right for me.  Thankfully, when I started talking to it, it took off for the hills!  Ha ha ha!

Cupcake Picnic

Good morning! How can it be Wednesday already?!  Probably because I don't want this last week to go so fast! LOL!

Here is a sweet little card made with Lili of the Valley stamps. I made this one quite awhile ago, but it is still one of my favorites. If you love to color, these stamps are for you! I love coordinating the colors on my stamped image with the paper I choose to use. I think it is easier for me to create this way, and I also think the colored image is more coordinated to the paper that way. That is just a little tip for ya!

Today involves more cleaning for me. I am less motivated than I was at the beginning of the week!  That is why I started with the big jobs first!  I know how this works! Ha ha ha!

Bikin' Mimi

Good morning stampers! I am up bright and early today. First,  there was a pitbull confrontation outside my window at 6:30am and then storms came through. It was time to get up!  It is going to be a stormy morning so I plan on getting my basement vacuumed. It's a good day to get that job done.

But let's get to the good stuff, shall we?  Today's card is made using a Mimi stamp from Penny Black.  The stamps are a lot of fun to color. I also used the Hero Arts set called Friendly Flags. I like the addition of the flags in the corner of the card.  The paper is from My Minds Eye.

I was happy to get into my stamp room yesterday afternoon, but I ended up doing a little reorganizing instead of stamping. I love my new organization. If you are a stamper, you know this is a never-ending job. I love when I come up with new organization ideas for things. I like to be organized!

Good Times

It's Monday morning! Back to reality, huh?  I have one last week of summer vacation, and then it is back to the grind stone for me!  I enjoyed my summer, and now I am ready to go back. I am going to focus this week on cleaning up my house real good so that is taken care of!  Let's just say that now that my oldest daughter is back to college, things will stay clean. LOL!  I know some of you probably know what I am talking about!

Today's card is made with goodies from October Afternoon (5 & Dime). This stuff is so much fun. I bought the rub-ons and the Miscellany. I love it all so much. It all coordinates, and you just can't make a bad card! Make sure you order enough the first time. I went back after the first few cards and had to make some more!

Maybe if I hurry up with my cleaning today, I can play with some of this October Afternoon stuff today. That sounds like a good plan to me!

 

Penny Black Crossword

Good Sunday morning to you!  I figured I better get some  posting in on my blog before school starts back up!  I'm feeling a change around here!  My oldest daughter is leaving to go back up to school today. I can't believe how fast the summer has gone.  I can't believe I have a 20 year old!  YIKES!

So today's card is made with a very cute stamp from Penny Black. I have always loved the hedgies!  The paper is from Jillibean Soup (Dutch Mustard).  I love these colors and they coordinate perfectly with the hedgies!

I will have a lonely and quiet week this week. My youngest daughter will be working during the days, and I will be home alone. I would venture a guess you will see more of me this week! LOL!

I'm Glad There is You!

Where or where have I been? Well I have been doing some serious cleaning and reorganizing of my crafting goodies. And I must admit there is nothing that will put you more into a stamping slump than seeing all the "crap" you have bought and haven't used.  How is that for honesty? Ha ha ha.

Today though, I have something new to show you and I used two things I have had in my stash forever. I feel good about that. First. I want to introduce you to Scrap Happy Glue by The Rubber Cafe. My friend, Bevie Pearl, pointed this out to me, and I was all over wanting to try it out. Here is a video on Youtube that you have to watch!  It gives you a complete tutorial on how I made the lace flower. The only thing I have to add is that they are SO VERY EASY to make.  I can't believe the glue makes glue dots!

 The paper I used is Basic Grey (named Out of Print), and the aluminum saying is from Artistic Impressions. I bought them years and years and years ago. I popped it up with some foam tape to give it some dimension.
