Mimi in the Spring

Good morning to you all! It is Sunday morning and expected to be a perfect day here weather-wise!  We are happy about that because my youngest daughter graduates from high school today. What a milestone! She has worked really hard in school and will be attending UW-Madison this fall!  We are very proud of her! 

Anyways, this card is made using Mimi from Penny Black. I have really fallen in love with her because she is a lot of fun to color. I love to color! Even when I was a kid, I love to color in my crayon books! The paper I used is from Lilybeedesign and the line is called Picket Fence.  I really liked the colors they paired up in this paper pack!

Teddy Fun

Good Morning! I absolutely love Saturday mornings! I like to  get up early, eat some breakfast, and drink some coffee. It's nice to plan out your day and have time to do some things you don't normally have time for during the busy week!

This stamp from Lili of the Valley just makes me smile. The bears look like a stuffed animal that my 20 year old daughter has had since she was very little. He is a fun loving bear and would love to join in the fun here!  I paired the image up with some My Minds Eye paper. I also added some pearl to the corner. The pearls are one of my favorite embellishments!

Poodle Mimi

Good morning!  Today is the first day of my summer vacation. I had originally planned on washing windows but it is raining and only 50 degrees. So those plans have changed, and I can't say that I am disappointed. I have already been in my stamp room creating! Now, THAT is how I like to start my summer off!

I have been on a Penny Black kick if you haven't noticed. This image is from a clear set called Mimi in Paris.  It is just darling and very fun to play with!  I pulled out some My Minds Eye paper. I was thinking orange and pink from the start so I found this paper to work perfectly with what I was envisioning in my head!  The coloring was the fun part.  I kept my layout on the card simple because the image was bigger for this size card.  I added some seam binding and there ya have it! 

Now it is not all play. Today I start my summer goal of exercising and losing weight.  I fell into some bad habits while working this year. Part of it was because I had to take my lunch at 10:15. That didn't work too well for me. By the time I got home, I was starving.  So anyways, my goal is to exercise every day in some way, shape or form. Today I am biking on my stationary bike. So here I go!  

 

Lemonade Stand

Good morning! You have made it to mid-week! We can do it!   It has been extremely hot here in Southern Wisconsin the past few days. The last 3 days have been in the 90s. We are expected to have one more hot day before a cold front moves through. We are not used to this weather in June.  But it's all par for the course here in Wisconsin. You just never know what are you are going to get!

I thought it would be a good day to share this card with you today! Isn't this little girl adorable? I paired her up with some paper from The Girls' Paperie. I also dug out some blue checkered paper from years and years ago (I believe it is Making Memories).  I bet she would make a lot of money at her lemonade stand today!

Live Richley in Greens

Good morning!  Today is the last Monday I have of the school year and we are heading to a water park in Wisconsin Dells. It should be a lot of fun. I'm pretty excited about it. It's a nice way to end the year with the sixth graders.  I was smart and prepared this post yesterday. I like when I am ahead of the game. 

 

I like to pair up Hero Arts flower stamps with Basic Grey paper. I just stamp the flowers right onto the patterned paper and then color in some of the details of the flower. I then cut them out and place them on my card. For this card I used some lace and a red paper clip to spice things up a bit. I love it. It is really a lot of fun to play around with different patterns with the flowers!  Give it a try!

Mushroom Mimi

Good morning! Welcome to Sunday!  This weekend has already  blown right along. I hope to get some time in my stamp room today!  Yesterday my daughters and I walked in the 5K Race for the Cure. It is a huge event in Madison, WI and each year I am blown away by the number of people there.  It is a great cause to be a part of! 

Today's card is sponsored by Penny Black.  I have fallen in love with this little girl, named Mimi. She is really a lot of fun to color.  I especially like this stamp because of the mushrooms. I just think it has a whimsical feel to it. I paired it up with some of my "old paper" from My Minds Eye.  I seem to have a lot of My Minds Eye paper.  LOL! I also added Viva Pearls (cream) to the mushrooms. I like that touch.

Truly Amazing!

Good morning! It is Friday! I love the sounds of that!  It is the last Friday of the school year! We are finished up next week Thursday. It has been really busy at school trying to get everything done and keep the kids under control at the same time!

This stamp is from Penny Black. How fun is this image?  This is a fun one to take your time with and color!  I paired it up with some Basic Grey paper. The stamp is quite big so I kept my layout simple.  It's all about the coloring any how!

Okay I am off to curl my hair and start my Friday!  WOOHOO! It's Friday!

 

Bears Tea Party

Good afternoon.  I was just picking out which card to share  with you and I got to thinking about the fact that I got this stamp way back in March for my birthday. I am first getting to share it with you today! WOW! Time flies!  I am excited about sharing more with you bloggers out there during summer vacation! One of the best things about being a stamper/crafter is sharing with others! 

Today was the most beautiful day. Temps were in the mid to upper 70s! A perfect day to have a tea part outside with all of your bear friends!  For this card, I used My Minds Eye 8 x 8 paper packs.  I really like using the smaller paper packs now instead of buying full 12 x 12 sheets of paper. I like the smaller patterns, and I like having all of the coordinating papers!
