Good afternoon!  It's time to get on with this blogging stuff! I think last week must have been busy and stressful or something!  LOL! I have 7 days left of school now so we are winding down. I cannot wait to have some time off this summer to get crafty!  It makes me happy just thinking about it!

This is a card that I made awhile back with a Lili of the Valley stamp and The Girls Paperie paper. I picked up the paper at Archivers, and I just love it!  I used one of my crocheted flowers and some lace to accent my card! I am still crocheting away! 

Tomorrow is the start of June!  I hope your summer starts off great!  Enjoy the day!

 

Mavis Hits the Beach

I counted! There are only 13 days left of school. Oh my gosh! I am always amazed at how fast May goes. You feel like it is going to take FOREVER for the school year to end. The kids are bouncing off the walls, and it takes EVERYTHING in you to keep them motivated and behaving.  Then you look at the calendar and May is almost over. I am really looking forward to summer!  This card is a peek into the summer!

I used Mavis from Stamping Bella on my card today. I love everything about sweet little Mavis! I pulled out all sorts of patterned paper from my stash. I know the blue checkered is from Making Memories (many years ago). I just mixed and matched the pinks and blues and away I went!

 So far today looks like a beautiful day. We may be able to get some yard work in before rain this afternoon. Enjoy your Sunday!

 

 

Penny Black Challenge!

I won! I won! I won!  A couple of weeks back, on Mother's  Day, I decided to take a half hour out of my busy weekend and have some "me time". It was, after all, Mother's Day!  I had seen the Penny Black challenge on their website to make a monochramtic card.  It was there National Scrapbook Day Challenge. I don't know if you have every tried using different tones of one color on a stamped image. It is really thinking outside of the box and a lot of fun to try! I can honestly say I have never colored in a cute little girls face using a blue tone. LOL! I used a coordinating card from Archivers. They are pretty neat. All I did was plop my image on and add some lucky buttons!  I was so excited to find out that I won!  It was just fun to play along on the challenge and take some time out. 

I thought I would share this little story with you because it makes me happy!  Now I am sitting here dreaming of the coffee that I will soon be drinking. I am heading into my stamp room to straighten it up a bit! I am hoping to get distracted with that as I go! Ha ha!   Don't you just love Saturday mornings!?

Penny Black Gardener

Good morning! How in the world did it get to be Thursday already? Oh my goodness. Time is just a plugging along!

 My daughter moved back home from college yesterday. Our house has a whole new energy to it already! 

Any ways, though, I want to share this card with you. I love this stamp from Penny Black. Penny Black stamps have long been one of my favorites and that goes back to the beginning of my long stamping hobby!  They just keep the cute images coming! I love it!  The paper is from Jilly Bean paper. I had it laying out on my table when I colored my image in. I wanted them to match perfectly!  This card just makes me smile, and I hope it does you too!

Snail Mail MFT

Ssshhhh.  It's 6:02 Sunday morning and everyone is sleep  except for me.  I love mornings. . . well on the weekends!  I love trying to plan my day out. There are endless possibilities! 

Isn't this little fairy so sweet? She is delivery mail on her SLLLLLLOOOW snail, but she is enjoying the ride along the way! I pulled out the "Lana-cuts" background to pair up with this image. It was fun to color it to match.  The hard part was only using pinks and grays, but I love how it turned out. The paper is from My Minds Eye. The stamp is from My Favorite Things. 

Today is going to be another cold and rainy day. Nothing to do but stamp and in my shop!  LOL!  Well I guess I do have some other responsibilities to take care of too, but I am looking forward to some putzing around today!  Enjoy your Sunday!

Hello Babycakes!

Good morning! It is Saturday morning, and I was up bright and early to get this weekend going! I love mornings!

Doesn't this card just make you laugh? The rub-on is from Stampin' Up! and I felt it fit perfectly with the digital image from Sweet & Sassy!  I love the pinks and the oranges together! What a fun girlie card! The paper is from My Minds Eye.  They really do a great job of coordinating their papers to match so nicely!

I cut out a mat stack (from PaperTrey Ink) from some patterned paper and plopped my image right on it. I like how the pearls look on the side too! The mat stacks really help to showcase your main focal point in a different way!

Okay, I am heading into my stamp room. Oh what will I create today?!  

 

Good Luck Kitties!

Happy Friday the 13th peeps!  I thought I better post a card  that would help us have a LUCKY DAY today instead of an UNLUCKY day. I am not a very superstitious person, but it's fun to play along sometimes!  LOL!

This card was made using My Minds Eye paper that has been my favorite for awhile now.  I'm talked and talked and talked about it so I will just "mention it" this time!  The stamp is from Lili of the Valley. They have fast become one of my favorite stamp companies (if not THE FAVORITE ONE)!  Their images are just so darn cute that I can barely stand it!  I was thinking it would be cute to make some graduation cards with this image. I can dig out a "good luck" stamp and away ya go!  I like the sounds of that!

I hope you made it through the work week without too much trouble. It's time to relax and kick back now that it's the weekend! I have already been in my stamp room making some more Crinkled Seam Binding. I recently ordered a few new colors!  My hands are all inky now and I feel so good! LOL!  Happy Friday!

Mousie Delivery!

Good morning! I am up bright and early this Monday morning and enjoying my first cup of coffee! I think it is going to be a beautiful day. The rain will hopefully hold off until tonight!

This is a new digital stamp from Heather Ellis. It's from her line "Mouse in the House".  I paired it up with some Basic Grey paper and some leftover Stampin' Up paper.  I love the bright colors on this card!

Mavis with a crocheted flower

Good morning and Happy Mother's Day out there to all of the  moms!  I hope you all are able to enjoy your day today!  I haven't been the best blogger this week. I think I am still catching up from my garage sale. Have I mentioned lately that I'm glad that is over? Ha ha ha!

Isn't this card adorable. This is Mavis. Mavis is a stamp by Stamping Bella.  I really like how I doodled on her top with my white gel pen. I thought that turned out really cute. It was really easy to do too!

So I have a confession to make. I am addicted to making these crocheted flowers.  My daughters just asked me what I am going to do with all of them.  My reply, "It relaxes me to make them, so I make them."  I love all of the different colored threads and the variegated threads. They are all so pretty.  So any ways, I used one of this card!  I have plenty more to use as you can see!  Maybe that is why I haven't been blogging, huh?

Flowers for Mama

Happy May Day to you!  It is Sunday morning here and I am so relieved to have my garage sale over with!  You always forget just how much work those garage sales are!  Oh me, oh my!  We had great sales though so that is good!  Now I can get back to my regularly scheduled life!  May appears that it is going to be a busy month!  Isn't it always though?

I just love this card. I used another of my Lili of the Valley stamps.  Can you tell that I just adore these stamps?  I used a "Lana-cuts" background with it so this card went together quick.  I like to add half circle tabs to  some of my cards. It's another quick and easy way to add details to your card. You can throw a button on it to really make it pop out.  Looking at this card makes me want to color!  I may have to find just a little bit of time to play in my stamp room today!  What a treat that would be!
