Good morning bloggers! This is the best Monday ever! I get an extra day to my weekend. It's perfect timing too. I really needed a weekend to do nothing but hole up! You know what I mean? Hibernate comes to mind!
This weekend I mentioned I was fine toning (lol) my coloring skills. I have been working on using Copic Markers with colored pencils and Gamsol. What I do is color with a light tone of Copic Marker. Then I use a darker shade colored pencil and shade in around the edges with the Gamsol and stump. I used this new technique on the flowers on this card. I figured the House Mouse Designs were perfect to try this on. The images are so real and they already have shading in their images. It has been a lot of fun playing this weekend on this new technique.
For the actual bird feeder I used a clear Sakura clear pen to give it that shine. I think you can see it in the photograph.
I will keep putzing away in my stamp room today. Stay tune for more new colored images on my cards!

Very pretty Lana! I really like the purple! This card reminds me of the squirrels that are always eating the birds' food outside of our home!!! They would be surprised if a they found this sweet little mouse sitting in the bird feeder! :D
