Good Tuesday morning to you! I have to say the day of the week in my greeting just to remind myself what day it is! Ha ha ha! That will soon be coming to an end though. The fist day of school is next week Wednesday! As usual, I am getting excited to head back! I have been busy this week preparing for my daughter to go back to college, getting one last lunch date in, and various other odds and ends!
I haven't been stamping as of late either! I did work on getting some layouts put together. I wanted to show you this time-saving tip on making cards! Sometimes I like to grab a pack of 8 x 8 paper and just start piecing backgrounds together. In this case, I used October Afternoon. One of the things I like about their paper, is a lot of it coordinates with other paper from the line. It makes it a lot of fun mixing and matching and coming up with some cool backgrounds. I had so much fun doing this, I came up with a HUGE pile of layouts. Now the best part of this is that you can just grab your background piece, plop an image on there and you are good to go! It takes a lot of the guesswork out of creating. You just go with the background piece and go from there!
So that is my big tip for you today on card-making! I hope you find it helpful!
By the way, this cute little bear is from Lili of the Valley! Isn't he the cutest???!!!

Love this little guy, Lana. Your coloring is superb! :) I love the idea for the do ahead backgrounds. A great way to use up the "left overs" from the paper stacks. TFS - you are the best !! :)

Love how this bear just makes ya smile! Great tip. This would be a great way to use up all those scraps I have from DT assignments. I think I just may have to try this.
Are you a para? I am at the highschool level. No two days are alike which makes my job more interesting. Ü
Have a great weekend! We are enjoying having Benjamin home from college and hearing about his first two weeks.
