   Good morning! I told you that I can't stop making these easel cards! They are just too much fun! So where would we all be if we couldn't laugh once in awhile! It's important even when you have a bad day to laugh! So that was my theme and my thinking when I started this card.  I used more of my new October Afternoon paper from the Farm Freshline on this one!  There is something about these cluckers that just make ya grin!  Trust me! I was grinning and snickering the whole time I was making this card!  LOL!

Now if I start clucking, somebody slug me please!

Polar Tin

Well as I said, I have opened my gift-making workshop for the year. I like to come up with a bunch of holiday goodies. It is always nice to have some gifts on hand!  I love this big fella from Whippersnapper Designs. He is going on for some skiing this winter season!  He doesn't need much to keep himself warm! He is made for the frozen tundra!  The paper from My Minds Eye called Colorful Christmas makes it super easy to come up with a fun and bright project!  Eclectic Paperie also carry the dvd tins for the this project.  I have made a ton of these babies and love to give them as gifts. 

On the inside, there is a pocket on the side, and then a notebook and pen on the other side!  When I purchased the paper line, I also bought some of the cool brads and the chipboard. It is always fun to have embellishments that compliment the paper!

I almost want to breaking out in song:  "Let it snow! Let is snow! Let it snow!"  I said ALMOST!  Winter will be here before we know it!

PTI Big Belly Santa

Good morning!  It's time to start thinking about Christmas!  I love digging into my holiday stash of papers and coming up with gifts for the season. As soon as the weather turns colder, I open up my gift-making workshop!  I like to give handmade items the best because people know you really put your heart into the gift! For this card I used the new PaperTrey Ink stamp set that coordinates with buttons. Seeing as I'm a big fan of buttons (dressed or not), I had to get this set!  I used Imaginisce paper and some rick rack to dress up the card!  I really enjoyed making this little guy!  Doesn't he look like Mrs. Santa has fed him well this last year?

Knit Happens

My friend, Robin, crocheted my a ton of these pretty flowers. I love this so much and until this time, have not been able to use them on a project that I'm going to send off!  I figured it would be okay to make her a card with them though!  LOL!

This is some new paper that I bought from Starlit Studios. The line is called Farm Fresh. I love October Afternoon paper so much. It is very high quality paper!  This stamp is a Stampendous stamp. I also dug out the yarn and the saying from a different Stampendous stamp set.  I was trying to make the raccoon doing different things with the little stamps I had!  It was pretty funny in my stamp room that day! 

Well hopefully this card will make it out to my friend, Robin, soon!  I am pretty sure she likes raccoons too!

Happy Owl-oween!

Good morning! With Halloween fast-approaching I figured I better post this card.  Otherwise, I'll be sitting here with my left-over candy and my card!  Who wants to look at this after Halloween!?  Good thing I'm on top of things!  Ha ha ha!  A friend of mine sent me these cute little Halloween buttons. I just had to use them right away on my card. This is a simple layout, but ya know what, sometimes those make the best cards!  The stamps are by Hero Arts (another recent purchase from Archivers).  The paper is by Basic Grey, called Eerie. I always love the cool designs that Basic Grey comes up with on their patterned paper. 

Beware of black cats, spooks, and goblins this Halloween!  I hope you are the recipient of lots of yummy candy! 

Deck the Halls!

A few weeks ago when I stopped at Archivers, I picked up this stamp by Penny Black. Isn't it cute?  I have been a big fan of Penny Black stamps for a long, long, long time! Archivers also had these Holiday Dazzlers by Petaloo (the foam snowflakes). I'm really glad that I grabbed these, because I have been using them on EVERYTHING!  I have started my holiday gift-making! Stay tuned for some neat projects!  Okay, back too this card!  The paper is by My Minds Eye and if you didn't notice, I have been using it A LOT! To finish my card, I stuck the main image on foam tape and then added a rub-on to it. I really like using bright and fresh colors for Christmas!  It opens up a lot of new options when making holiday cards!

 

Happy Halloween the Crafty Secrets Way!

Good morning and welcome to the Sunday Post. This is not a really dirty and grungy card but it is made with my vintage stamps from Crafty Secrets!  I used a page from my Noteworthy Tablets by Making Memories. I stamped my image right on it and colored it in.  I used Black Eye Liner Glitter from Our Craft Lounge on the little girls cape. I love this stuff. It's the coolest black glitter ever! Once I got the main image done, I stamped some random images on the same piece. That black cat cracks me up! He is spooky!  I dug out some buttons that matched and I was all done. I had this card done in record time. I also dry embossed the pumpkin pie background with my Cuttlebug. Can you see that? Halloween is really sneaking up! 

Another Easel Card

Good morning! I promised you more easel cards so here is yet another one for you to enjoy!  This time I made a Halloween one! I love Halloween!  Between the autumn weather and the candy, it is my favorite time of the year!  I actually had the card front pretty much made so I just slapped that onto some card stock and then onto the base. I have some Imaginisce brads left so I chose that for me easel positioning embellishment! The stamp is by Whipper Snapper. I have used this image a lot this Halloween. There is usually one or two stamps that I really like working with for a holiday. This is one of my favorites this year!  The paper is by Heidi Grace and Making Memories. They are from my stash from last year! You gotta love leftovers!  Once I finished the assembly of this card, I just added a rub-on and some Kaiser gems! It was that easy!

Bookmark Card

I have the best pen pal in the world! She sends me all sorts of cards and makes me smile on a regular basis. She recently sent me a bookmark card similar to this one.  It gave me an idea for making a card that detaches easily from the card itself! I knew I was going to use my Basic Grey Magnets for this project!  I dug into my new papers. I used the Report card line from my new October Afternoon papers.  The image is actually a digital image that I got fromDustin Pike.

So see the strip in the middle of the card. That is a folded bookmark that comes off easily to use in your favorite book. In case you didn't know. I LOVE TO READ. I read every single night. I really enjoy it! I like to get my pen pal reading my favorite murder mysteries too! 

Isn't this card just cute as can be?  My little bookworm is perfect for this project!

Thankful Notebook

I'm using more of my mini composition notebooks!  I really enjoy having little gifts on hand for birthdays that pop up!  I love treating my friends to something that I made!  And with sticking with yesterdays Farm Fresh papers, I decided to make a Thanksgiving type of notebook!  I had this Whippersnapper images that I got from a friend, and I think this cute little chick is just perfect for Thanksgiving!

My picture is a little bit blurry. I think you can get the idea of this cute little notebook though!

When I bought my October Afternoon papers from StartlitStuidios, I made sure to buy the 8 x 8 notepads too. I'm sure glad I did because on the smaller paper, the images are actually shrunk down a bit.  When working with a smaller project, I like the smaller images on the paper!  It makes sense!

I hope that apple pie is cooled enough that the chick isn't get a hot hiney!  LOL!
