Good Morning.  I have a quick post for you today. This card is made with a Whipper Snapper Designs stamp. I love their stamps. In fact, I just ordered myself a few to cheer myself up. Why do I need cheering up? Well I started breaking out in a rash on Saturday from the Enbrel injections.  I shouldn't be too surprised.  I am allergic to Humira which is a cousin to Enbrel. It was something we had to try though. I was able to get a little relief from it, so I guess I should look at it from that perspective. People comment to me all the time how cheery my blog is.  It is important to me to maintain a positive attitude in everything that I do.  Is my life always sunshine? No. If you ask my 5th graders they would tell you that Mrs. Lepinski wants a positive attitude from them. The groaning doesn't get you any where! So there you have it! My words of wisdom for the day! 

Sweet Harmony Revisited

Good morning and welcome to the Sunday Post.  A couple of Sundays ago, I posted a similar card to this one. I wanted to post this card to show you how you can change the look of the card with a little color.  I used my Blending Tool and Distress Inks to add more color and make this one more vibrant.  I love how this looks. Then around the edges I used Vintage Photo Distress ink (one of my favorites). It gives it that "old look".  I also dug out my vintage lace and added some of that. The stamps are from Lost Coast Designs. I really like that company because they are CHEAP! Times are tight people!  Buy unmounted and save yourself some money!

Today is going to be a beautiful day. We are turning the air conditioning off and enjoying some fresh air in the house!  Have a wonderful Sunday! 

Coaster Books

Good morning! Are you awake yet?  I'm feeling a bit sleepy!  Today I want to share a project that I was hooked on last week before we left for Good Ol' Uncle Phil's house. I couldn't stop making these coaster books with my Bind-It-All. On this one, I used Stampin' Up paper called Parisian Breeze Specialty. I used the longer rectangle coasters from Eclectic Paperie.  I cut the flowers out from coasters with my Big Shot and a Sizzix flower die.  It cuts like butter, I swear! 

At my class last week we made smaller 4 x 4 versions of this. I was hooked on those too. I just kept making one after another! You know how I like to keep little gifts on hand!  It's a lot of fun to coordinate the paper and the buttons and the ribbon and even the coil for the bind it all!  Yahoo!

Hey, it's Friday today! WOW! What a fast week.  I still can't keep up!  I think our little visit to my BIL's really got me all out of whack.  Oh and guess what?  We've been off of school for two weeks now. I have over 100 miles in on my exercise bike! I am going to BLOW my exercise goal to smithereens!  I am getting fit baby!  I hope you have a great Friday and a SUPER START to your weekend!

Teeter Totter Tin

Good Morning Sunshine!  I am up early today, and starving to death! This morning I'm going in to have some bloodwork done that I need to fast for. . . Do you think I will make it?  If I could have slept a bit longer, I would have been okay.  Oh well! I'm sure I will be okay! I'm trying to keep busy so that the time goes faster!

Anyways, enough of the blah, blah, blah.  Here is a tin that I made a few weeks back. I love these tins. They make such a great little gift.  On this one, I used My Mind's Eye paper (Pretty Please Collection) and a Penny Black stamp.

 

 

Here is a look at the inside of the tin. There is a little pocket on the left and then a notebook on the right. How sweet is this?  The whole presentation is just the coolest!  I like to have some of these on hand in cas I need a little gift!

Okay, I'm going to go jump in the shower and get ready to go. I can leave about 7:00. I want to get this labwork over with!  I have things to do people! Places to go! People to see!

Blingin' Birthday

Good Morning! We are back home, and I slept like a baby back in my new bed!  I am up and ready to enjoy a nice summer day. It's going to be hot and humid again today. Yesterday on our way home we ran into some buckling roads on both main highways.  Luckily we had been listening to the radio and heard about it. We planned an alternate route and got home without being stuck at a standstill for hours! My point is when the roads start buckling, IT IS HOT OUT!  LOL!  But we made it home and had a wonderful time at Good Ol' Uncle Phils. I'm sure he misses us already!

Today's card was made with a Whipper Snapper stamp. One of my favorite companies! How can you not like the cuties that they come up with! On this card, I used the same idea I came up with on my daughter's graduation card. I cut out the letters from coasters using my Sizzix alphabet on my Big Shot. Then I used colored Stickles Glitter Glue and applied it to the letters. I let it dry overnight and then I was able to use it on my card! It adds a fun and sparkly embellishment to any project!

Circus

Good Morning and welcome to the Sunday Post. Today I have a fun card that I made with Artistic Outpost stamps. The set is called Vintage Circus. This card really came together fast because of the composition of the stamps.  I stamped the background onto my Jumbo Tag and then just started adding bright color using my foam blenders.   love how it turned out.  I cut the elephant out of a scrap piece.  I love how the "circus" pops out from the color contrast!  I used foam tape to pop the photo of the little boy out a bit from the rest of the card.  This card brings back memories for me of when I was a kid!

I hope you enjoy your Sunday. We are heading out this morning for Good Ol' Uncle Phil's house.  My daughter has her college orientation tomorrow and Tuesday. So until I get back, keep smiling!

Teddies

Good Morning!  Happy Saturday!  Ahhh, don't you just love Saturday mornings? For this card, I pulled out a very old stamp. This is one of the first stamps I ever bought. It's from Penny Black and I believe they retired this line if Ramblin' Teddies.  This stamp got a lot of use back in it's day.  Isn't he cute?  It is really a lot of fun to pull out and oldy, but good stamp after you haven't used it for a long time.  It's just like having new stamps! The paper is from My Minds Eye.  I've used it several times before, and I still have a huge stash!  Paper's cheap though so that's okay!

We've had a lot of rain this last week, and I think today it's supposed to clear off and be less humid.  It will be nice to get back outside!  Happy day to you!

Congratulations Eastern Blooms

Good morning! Good morning! Good morning!  I just finished 6.44 miles on my exercise bike and did that ever wake me up! 

My life has been crazy busy this week with doctor appointments. Yesterday, I gave myself my first injection with a needle!  I was a little bit nervous about it, but not too bad. I'm okay with needles and have never had problems.  But I was still a bit worried about doing it to myself.  After I did it yesterday, I told the nurse, "That was cool!"  Trust me, I've been the recipient of many thousands of pokes!  It is different actually doing it!  I'm hoping the Enbrel helps me!  I really need to get my life back on track and get back to being myself!

So any ways, my card today is made using the Stampin' Up! stamp set called Eastern Blooms. I love this set!  I think it's one of my favorites right now. I also played around with different color combinations on this one!  I made a pink version too! I love both of them!

I have good news to report on my exercise goal!  I am well on my way!  I broke a record this week!  I road 58 miles this week!  WOW! Keep exercising with me!  It feels good and has really made a difference in my mood these last couple of days especially!

 

 

Good Crops

Good morning! Let's see, today is Wednesday!  I'm already having a hard time keeping track of what day it is!  Ah, I love summertime!  I've had a lot to keep me busy this week. I have plenty of doctor appointments this week. In fact, today I will go get my first injection of Enbrel! Please say a little prayer that this works!

Anyways, enough of the blah blah blah!  Here is another card that I made with the Crafty Secrets Creative Scraps.  This stuff is perfect for achey joints in the fingers!  I get pretty miserable if I can't spend time in my stamp room!  Crafty Secrets came to my rescue!  It's also fun to try something new instead of stamping all the time.  I just love being crafty!  It's a wonderful outlet for us women (and some fellas too).

Summertime Fun Tin

Good morning! I have a very good friend that also works in a school so we celebrate every year when summer comes around!  If you work in a school, you know there are certain times of the year that are tougher than others (like the end of the year).  It's fun having such a good friend who understands all of this and can celebrate with you at the end! I dug into my stash of goodies for this little project. The stickers I had "forever"!  The tin is from Pinecone Press. I picked it up at a stamp convention last fall.  I knew it would come in handy for a little gift! I put a bunch of Crystal Lite Packets inside of the tin so my friend can kick back and enjoy her summer with a good refreshment that isn't high on calories!  And my project would not have been complete without plopping a lucky button on it! So there you have it!

I'm still adjusting to this summertime business. I am starting to get a bit of a routine going.  I have been riding my exercise bike in the morning and then at night trying to get my metabolism going. I am on fire with the exercise!  Yahooie!  Now to keep it up all summer! I had a goal of riding 300 miles during the 12 weeks of summer. Well I already have about 35 miles in! Hopefully I will blow that goal to shreds!  I hope you are exercising with me! I love hearing all of your stories!  Keep up the good work!
