 Good Morning and welcome to the Sunday Post. Yesterday I played around with making several "dirty" cards. I really enjoy it!  My fingers were good and dirty when I was done, so I know I was very productive!

On this card I used Tim Holtz's set called Urban Tapestry, Artistic Outposts sets called Bluebird, and Serenity.  When I stamp dirty cards, I literally have all of my vintage sets laying out all over the place, and I pick and choose what I want to use!

I love Tim Holtz's Foliage in his Ideology line.  Whoever would have thought of metal flowers!  I think it was a brilliant idea because they look just right on this card!  StartLitStudio has the Ideology on sale right now so don't miss out on that!

I tried to brighten up this card a bit so that you could see the detail. It is really darker in real life.  It also has gold splatters on it in real life.  I wish I could send everyone of you this card, so you could enjoy it in real life!

Flower Soft is AMAZING!

 Good Saturday to ya!  I've had a wonderful morning so far! I started my day by playing around with a new product called Flower Soft.  My review is in!  I LOVE IT!  I made about a dozen cards this morning all similar to this one.  I have to admit, though, that I took a break to order MORE flower soft colors. On my first order, I had bright colors and as I played with it, I decide I'd like some softer shades as well. The stamp is by Penny Black and it works perfectly with Flower Soft. I love when a new product reintroduces me to a stamp I already own!  LOL! Flower Soft is super easy to use. I stamped my image in Old Olive ink.  Then I used my Scotch Quick-Dray Tacky Adhesive.  I added some splotches of glue onto the stamped image and sprinkled the flower soft over it. You do have to sort of sift the Flower Soft before you add it to your project. The company recommends that you dump it into a new container before you begin your project.  I also played around with mixing some colors of the Flower Soft. This card shows a mix of a few colors!  I may have to play some more this afternoon. I am pretty sure I'm addicted to it now! 

I also exercised this morning and tallied up my total. I rode 37.19 miles this week on my new exercise bike.  That is nearly double of what I was riding on my old bike!  My review of my bike is in as well! I LOVE THAT TOO!  Today I looked at old magazines while I rode!  It helps to pass the time and I get those creative juices going in my head!  How did you do this week? Remember to keep exercising!  It really makes a difference in your overall attitude and mood, not to mention the many healthy benefits to you!

Making Memories Birthday Party

Good morning Sunshine!  (When I was in college, there was a girl on our floor that would always greet people like that at about 6:30am and it would make everyone cringe). So perhaps I will change my greeting to:  Are you still sleepy sunshine?  Ha ha ha! I know I am!

I dug into my stash of supplies for this card. The paper and flower embellishments are from Making Memories. The Green paper is actually from my Imaginisce stash. That was laying out and it matched so well that I grabbed it.  I also dug into my stash of stamped images.  That's fun to do!  Just grab an image and start coloring! The stamp is by Stampendous!  How cute is that chick?

How is your week going?  Mine is zipping by as usual!  Last night I hopped on my exercise bike. I love that thing.  My exercise totals this week are going to be smoking hot! Yahooo! I did increase the tension last night for awhile and I have sore calves this morning!  It's not bad enough that they feel bad. They actually feel good! If that makes any sense at all!

We are supposed to get some snow over the weekend. They aren't quite sure of the tracking.  I think that is making a lot of people crabby around here!  My daughter and I talked about how we were going to ignore it. We even said we'd put on shorts and turn the heat up to 80 degrees!  Ha ha ha!

Egg-spress Yourself

Good morning to you!  It's Wednesday! We are half way through the week.  We've had a rainy week here so far and it's been hard to drag ourselves out of bed!  But check out this cute little guy!  He wakes me right up!  Is he so darned cute?  Word has it, the bunny has been very busy working on some Easter eggs with his sparkle paints!  I see he even splattered some on himself!  LOL!  That's how I paint too!  The paper is from Imaginisce (last years stash again). The stamp is Whipper Snapper (if you didn't recognize that yet). This is a super easy layout.  You don't always need fancy layouts on cards. You don't want to take away from the colored image.

Okay folks, I'm heading up for another cup of coffee. I NEED IT TODAY!  *yawn*.  Have a fabulous day!

Par-fect day!

Good Morning Bloggers! It is Monday!  We had a super nice weekend and now we are heading back to work and school. We have two more weeks until spring break! I think we can do it!

Today I'm showcasing a Stampin' Up! card made with the new set called Many Mower which will be available for order on April 1st. This set is in the new mini catalog.  It is a perfect set for the men in your life especially if you have a golfer husband like I do!  I wanted to keep this card simple and pull in some color at the same time.  I used a striop of October Afternoon paper.  Then I had a tiny bit left and decided to put it on the inside of my card like my friend Cindy Lyles always does. I love that added touch to the cards, but I rarely think of that when I'm making the card.

I'm off to a good start today because yesterday I took some time to put myself there!  I made up a mixture of meatloaf ahead of time and have that in the refrigerator. All I have to do is pull that out and throw it in the oven.  I even packed my lunch last night and got this blog post ready to go!  WOW!  I even impressed myself this time!  LOL!

Harmony

 Good Morning and welcome to the Sunday Post!  I was excited to share this card with you today!  I used the following Tim Holtz stamp sets: Fairytale Frenzy,Slight Alterations (I LOVE THIS ONE), Urban Tapestry.  I used the set called Serenity from Artistic Outpost for the "harmony" word.  I love how you can mix and match!  The other day I was showing some friends how to make the colored backgrounds using Tim Holtz's Distressed Inks and a water spritzer.  It is so much fun and it just wakes up my creativity deep,deep inside of me. My grungy cards are extra special to me because I feel like each one is different.  Each background turns out completely different even if you try to recreate it. 

Oh and then yesterday it was such a beautiful day outside so I took out some of my grunge and a couple of colors.  I made some of these grunge flowers. Aren't they pretty? I use them on special projects.  I just used my last one so I had to make up some more.  These were made with a Studio 490 stamp set called Dreams of Art.  Of course you will need some grunge board or grunge paper, Distressed inks, Blending Tool, Tim Holtz's scissors, Inkssentials (glue), and some buttons and linen thread to embellish! 

Three Bunnies. . .

Good morning kids!  Happy Saturday! Yippy Skippy. I just crawled out of bed and have my coffee at my side!  I'm sorry it's been a couple of days since I posted.  Thursday my internet was down.  I don't like that. Then yesterday morning I was running around cleaning up from my workshop the night before.  It's all good though! 

Here is a cute little card sponsored by Whipper Snapper Designs. I bought these bunnies last year, I think.  Aren't they cute. This is one of the easiest images to color in, too, if you want white bunnies! The paper is from my stash of Imaginisce from last year. It's so fun to pull that out again. 

Oh and guess what?  My new bike came yesterday and my husband put it together already. I was able to ride it last night and boy is it GREAT.  I don't call it an exercise bike. . . I call in an exercise jet.  It is so quiet!  I'm looking forward to hopping on it again today.  I've had some trouble this last week with some of my joints.  I'm wondering if it is because I haven't been able to get that blood flowing through me with exercise.  I don't like it.  So we'll get moving again and see if that makes a difference!  Gear up folks!  I'm back on an exercise mission!  Yahoooo!

Biking to the party!

Good morning!  It's Wednesday already!  I'm not quite awake yet so bare with me! 

I was digging through my stamps this last weekend and found this little guy. I'm in desperate need of some birthday cards so I was looking for birthday stamps. He is by Penny Black and a real keeper! I also dug out my paper stack from My Minds Eye that I purchased at Hobby Lobby. I love this stuff because the pages have glitter on them and it really adds to your cards!  And I just HAD to add glitter to his balloon. Who doesn't love a sparkle balloon? 

I hope you have a terrific day!  Yesterday we had weather in the 70s. Today it will be in the 50s, but I'm still wearing my capris!  Yahoo spring is coming! Spring is coming!

Egghunt

Good morning and happy Monday to you! Here we are starting another new week. The time has really been flying by for me.  The weekends never seem to last long enough!

Oh I have to tell you about my weekend.  I did a lot of exercising on my exercise bike over the weekend. So much so that I broke it!  Sunday morning, I was riding along my imaginationary bike path (remember it's a stationary bike).  And something skipped while I was petaling.  Then suddenly something gave, and my bike was done.  I have had this exercise bike for 14 years so I guess it had a good life. I've worked it really hard the last couple of years. In fact, I just hit the 500 mile mark from last August after my knee surgery. My husband and I hit a few stores and then ended up coming home to order on-line.  My birthday is a couple of weeks away and now my husband has the perfect gift for me.  My exercise totals for this week are probably going to be a bit low.  My knee doesn't like to walk as much as it is used to and especially if I won't have a bike to stretch it out on. So I just wanted to give you an exercise update.  That doesn't mean you can't exercise though!  I love hearing from those of you that do exercise on a weekly basis.  And remember, you are doing this for you!!  You are keeping yourself healthy by exercising.  Doesn't it feel good?  It gives me more energy!   

Have a great start to your week!  I have three weeks until our spring break from school!  I'm going to have to start making a list of things I want to do!  Yahoooooo!

A Brand New Ending

Happy Sunday and welcome to the Sunday Post. I didn't have any more vintage/grungy cards in my arsonal so I had to get down and dirty yesterday!   It was perfect timing really because I received a package from Eclectic Paperie that had my new Tim Holtz Mini Masks, my new 7 Gypsies clips (pictured at the top of the card), and my newTim Holtz foliage which I am in love with!  See the metal flower?  That's what I'm talking about! I also pulled out some of my new Tim Holtz stamp sets that I bought using all store credit that I earned making CHA samples. WOOHOO! This card was so easy to make and I just love how it turned out!
