Thank You Bear

Good morning! It is Sweet Sunday today.  Today's card is made with a stamp set from Darcies that I was lucky enough to get for a Christmas present this last year!  Santa sure knows what I like! After I colored the image with my copic markers I used I Kan' dee Pearlescent Chalks to add the sunshine in the back of the flowers. It is just a nice extra touch and looks very shimmery. The picture here does not do it justice of course.

The paper is from October Afternoon. I love to dig into my scrap box and mix and match the papers. I also like to use Divine Twine to add a bow to the corner. I really like this double bow.  It seems to add just the right amount of color and detail to the card.

Think Spring

Good morning!  It is my favorite part of the whole weekend: Saturday morning. I have already been in my stamp room to finish a card, and I will be going back after this post. Yippy!  We have been really lucky this winter. Winter didn't seem to arrive until this month so it is going to make the winter feel a lot shorter than normal. Usually this time of the year, one would kill for just a tiny bit of Spring. With that being said, here is a card that will surely help you think Spring!

The stamps are from the new spring line over at Whipper Snapper Designs. I mixed and match the paper. Most of it is from Lilybedesigns. The green flower strip is from Jillie Bean Soup.

I Love Roo

Good Saturday morning to you.  I am slow to wake up this morning. I think it must have been a long week or something!  We got some snow yesterday so once I am awake and the sun comes out, we will be out shoveling us out!  Maybe that is why I am slow to wake up! Ha ha ha!

 Today's project was discovered by my good friend, Cindy. I just loved her swanky cool bags that she came up with so I had to try them for Valentine's Day. I chose the Paper Smooches set called A Little Lovin. I just love that kangaroo so much with the saying.

I ordered a variety of paper sacks and was so excited to start. I really love how the kraft bags looked and worked with my project. I think I may have to order some more of those.

Oh the paper I used is called Yours Truly from Echo Park. A friend of mine recommended it, and I just love it. I used a 6x6 paper pad of it, but I also got some bigger sheets for other projects.

I made my back a little bit different than Cindy did. I punched out my circles and put brads in the middle. I attached both circles with foam tape and used waxed linen for my thread. I did attach the waxed linen thread under the foam tape on the top circle.

So that is it!  This is a fun little project, and I can think of so many neat things to put in the bag. I think I am going to make two for my daughters and send them either some gift cards or cash for Valentine's Day. You know how it is to be a starving college student!

Night Owl

Good morning! I guess today is Wednesday!  Having Monday off, really makes me get the days mixed up this week! Ha ha ha! Yep, today is Wednesday!  The card I am sharing today is for my daughter's 21st birthday.  She stays up until all hours of the night so I new this stamp set from Raisin Boat would be perfect. The set is called Night Owl of course!

I can't wait to make more cards with these cute little owls. I love how they look so round and chubby. It makes them cute as can be. The background Crossword paper is from October Afternoon. I think that adds a lot of fun to the card as well!

Okay off to grab some more coffee. I sure need it this morning! Happy Wednesday everyone!

Sending Bear Hugs

Good Monday morning! This is the best Monday ever! I don't have school today! Yahooo! I feel like a kid!

 Today I'm using Fred Bear again from My Favorite Things. I love this bear so much. He is a very sweet bear as you can see. He is ready to make someone feel better and cheer them up at the same time!

I paired him up with Jillie Bean Soup paper and paper piereced his blankie.  The rest was just coordinating the colors to the paper as I colored the image in. 

I hope to get in my stamp room today to create!  Ah just the thought of that is relaxing to me!

Friendship Brewed to Perfection

Good Sunday morning to you!  I was super busy yesterday and did not get a chance to post. First off, I would like to congratulate Lisa Summerhays on winning the ribbon blog candy! Woohoo for Lisa. I will get your ribbon prize package out on Tuesday's mail! I just love today's card. I used the My Favorite Things, Time for Tea die and stamp set.  I found that I loved using the Basic Grey line of paper called Picadilly. I had so much fun cutting out the little tea pots and mixing up the paper.

So today I hope to get into my stamp shop. Yesterday I took my daughter shopping for her 21st birthday that is coming up in February. Four hours later, I came to the conclusion that I prefer to shop on-line!  Oh my goodness, people were out in full force! You'd think it was still before Christmas!

Three Little Birdies

Good Friday morning to you! I am so happy it is Friday. I live for the weekends. We received over 5 inches of snow yesterday. This is really the first snow of the season. I can't believe it held off this long.  So anyways, I am looking forward to stamping some new cards this weekend. I can't wait! Today I have to share this card using a new Whipper Snapper stamp. These birdies are so sweet.  I paired them up with paper from Jillie Bean Soup and October Afternoon.  I am hooked on using Baker's Twine now on cards.

My Favorite Things Sketch

Good Tuesday morning to you. I have a quick card to share with you this fine day.  I decided to play along with MY Favorite Things Sketch Challenge. I used paper from Jillie Bean Soup. The stamp is Fred Bear from My Favorite Things. This was a really fun sketch to try out. I picked out coordinating paper that I wanted to use and then I put the card together. Once I got that done, I started coloring in my bear. It was easy to pick the right Copic Markers to use this way! Once I was done, I cut him out and adhered him to the card with foam tape. You know how I like to give my cards some dimension!

Laugh When You Can

Good morning to all of you out in the stamping world!  It is my favorite time of the day (well on the weekends-lol).  I have my coffee and I'm wondering about what I will do today.

Here is a card I made last weekend. I used a lot of My Favorite Things dies including the Simply Scallops, Fringed Perrenial,and Well Worn Greetings.  I also used the stamp set called Pearls of Wisdom. The paper is from Basic Grey called Picadilly.  Oh my gosh is this paper beautiful. I used the 6x6 paper pad of it. I just love making the flower. It is super easy to do too. I have made some flowers where it takes forever and you just aren't quite happy with it. This one from My Favorite Things is very easy to do and it's gorgeous when you are done!
