Strawberry Teapot

Good morning! It is so wonderful to have an extra day to the weekend! My husband left the house at 5:30 to go golfing before it gets too hot.  It was already at 71 degrees. Hello Summertime!  This card made me think of summer with the strawberries on it! The stamp is from Unity and goes along with the one I used earlier this month with the strawberries in the basket. The paper is a little bit of this and a little bit of that (mosty Jilliebean Soup).  I really like how the red and white bakers twine adds to this card. The red button makes it all pop!

Pigkini

Good Sunday morning. I am off to a slow start today. Today I'm sharing a card to get you ready for the summer. I alsolutely love this digital image from Whimsie Doodles.  I have all of the Beach images and love them! 

I also like this layout for cards where you cut the image out like I did with the cute little piggy-poo. The paper are from various companies that I just pieced together. I colored my image to match.

It's going to be 95 with an even higher heat index today so I plan on hiding in my stamp shop. What could be better?

Kick Some Grass

Good Saturday morning to you. It was a night full of thunderstorms and rain. We need the rain so I am not complaining one bit.  The rain continues this morning and it looks like it may be an inside kind of day. I love a good rainy day!

I am getting ready to ride my bike after this post, and then I think I will just have to putz around in my stamp shop for a bit. I feel like I lost my mojo, but I know that my next favorite card is just waiting to be made!

This card is made with a stamp set from The Cats Pajamas called Kick Some Grass. This saying just makes me snicker, and I love the fun font too. Special thanks to my friend, HB, for getting me some grass cut in my emergency situation (the die was out of stock-lol). Enjoy your long weekend!

A Friend Like No Other

Good Sunday morning to you. I just finished cleaning up my stamp shop. Boy, did I make a mess this past week.  Now maybe later today I will find some time to putz around in there!

This is a card that I made a few weeks back. The background is made with a "Lana-Cuts" background. I already had the background piece put together. I pulled it out from my stash, and then colored the images to match.  I adore these stamps from The Purple Onion.  The saying is just the sweetest and the perfect font to go along with these cuties! The paper is all My Minds Eye.  My last touch was using Bakers Twine on the top. I love how that seems to pull the whole card together.

Have a terrific Sunday. I'm gearing up for my morning bike ride.  Remember to exercise. It helps with your creativeness (among other things). 

 

Cutie Pi

Good Saturday morning to you! I tried to post this last weekend, but Typepad wouldn't let me upload a picture. So frustrating, but the good news is that it worked today! Yeah! This is a busy weekend for us. Finally, both of my daughters are moved back in.  My oldest daughter was the last to arrive yesterday at 3:00.  We had piles of blankets and stuff all over the place. Microwaves are piled up in the basement, and ya know what? I am loving every minute of it!  It is fun to watch the girls "move" back into their rooms and set everything up. 

My youngest daughter recently had a birthday, and I just HAD to buy this set called Sweetie Pi from There She Goes.  My daughter works in a lab on the UW-Madison campus, and I knew I could make a neat card for her with this set.  I used the My Favorite Things die called First Class Friend. I actually popped out the center with some foam tape. I hope you enjoy this card. I had so much fun making it!

Hedgie in a watering can

Good morning! It's Sunday morning and I woke up bright and early at 5:00am. I guess I went to bed too early. I don't mind the quiet time in the morning!  My oldest daughter has started "the move" back home from college. She brought a carload of her belongings home this weekend. It has been nice to spend the weekend with her. She brings our home a whole lot of energy! Next weekend, my youngest daughter will be moving back in. I am looking forward to a nice summer with a full house! So that's the update on the "going-ons" around here.

Let's talk about my card. Isn't this Penny Black stamp just the cutest? It's perfect for this time of the year too. We are starting to get our yards and flower beds in order. Ah, I love Spring. The paper is from a 6x6 paper pack from Lilybeedesign called Double Dutch. I love this paper!

Bowl of Strawberries

Good Monday morning to you!  I hope you are having an easier time waking up than I am today!  I will get there though! Yesterday I pulled out my Unity stamps. I recently reorganized my stamp shop a bit and made it easier to get to these stamps. I think you will be seeing a lot more of them.

Summer will be here soon and strawberries will be waiting to be picked!  I used JillieBean Soup paper for the background and then some scraps for the scalloped border. I also pulled out my ticket punch from the back of the punch drawer. I have to remember to use this more often too. I have always loved the look!

Zinnias

Good morning! I am already enjoying a nice Sunday morning. I was browsing the interweb and looking at fabulous cards. I thought I should share as well. Today I am sharing a card that I made this weekend using the Flourishes stamp set called Zinnias.  What I really like about the stamp sets from Flourishes is the fine detail in the stamps. They also package up your orders really sweet.

The paper I used is new from Theresa Collins. I love blue and yello together. This is going to be my Mother's Day card this year. I hope my mom isn't peeking her on my blog!

Berry Sweet

Good morning!  I think Saturday mornings are the most wonderful thing in the world!  Who knows what fun the day will bring!

Today I'm sharing a thank you card that I made for a very good friend.  She is one of the sweetest people I know so I was very excited to use this My Favorite Things stamp set. I paired it up with paper from Echo Park (This and That).  I love the bold reds in this and I think they really make my girl pop with her strawberry dress.

It is raining today. I guess that means I can't finish washing windows! Oh darn it. The only thing I can think of is to stamp instead!  Ha ha ha!  Enjoy your Saturday. Take note of all the little things in life!

The Purple Onion Stamps

Good afternoon! Guess who has the day off?  Yahooo!  I am supposed to be spring cleaning the house, but I'm starting slow. I figure I have 4 days to clean!  I am doing little things here and there. I stamped some this morning too, using my new stamp from The Purple Onion. I had just enough money left from my birthday money to buy these.  And boy did they ship fast! 

I had so much fun playing with these stamps. They are just adorable, and I think they are very different from any other stamps I've seen.  I paied up this bunny and birdie with My Minds Eye paper. So sweet. I love using baker's twine on my cards now in case you haven't noticed!
